Very cute, but definitely too small to store pens and pencils; I bought it as an original candy dish for my office desk.

Product was a bit smaller than I expected, but still holds a pretty decent amount of pens/pencils. It's adorable and my 10 year old daughter loves it. No complaints with this product.
