Good for beginners on clipless pedals
I bought this when I was starting to get into road cycling, but not that confident yet on using it on the road. At first I was just practicing in my indoor trainer with a clipless pedal, but when I do decide to go out and wasn't confident enough to ride without falling or crashing, I pop this bad boys on. They are easy to put in, but kinda hard to take out. The easiest way to take it out is to put an Allen key wrench that will fit through a hole on the side and pop it as if you are unclipping when riding. Build quality was good, and it did really helped me out a lot

Fits SHIMANO SPD-SL Great!
I have the SHIMANO PD-R540 SPD-SL pedals. These didn't fit initially. I had my friend show me i just had to pull part of the pedal back so it could slide down. Also you can loosen your pedals more so its easier to pull the piece. Either way, I bought these as a risk because it seemed 50/50 that they would fit. Very happy that they fit. Work great, It's nice to ride my road bike without clips when I'm commuting back from work. I do love clips though! I like to use them on the way to the park for laps, and the way back - not commuting.

Good but not Great
Really easy to install but really hard to remove. Not a ton of grip but depends on the shoes you wear. It works which is what matters most. Definitely serves it’s purpose.

A good item to add on your roadbike kit.
What made me hesitate to buy this product before was the "difficulty in taking it off" reviews. However, I found it to be not true. Shimano spd-sl pedals have tension adjusters. If you want this pedal adapters to stay in place and not wiggle around, simply set the tension of the pedals to its highest. To take the pedal adapters off simply set the tension of the spd-sl pedals to its lowest and it will be easy to take off with your hands. A pair now stays with my roadbike kit so I have the convenience of converting my clipless pedals to flats in just a matter of minutes whenever the need arises. My wife loves this pedal adapters too as there have been instances when she forgot to pack her cycling shoes in the car for our weekend bike ride.

Great concept but pain to take off Shimano 105 PD-R7000 SPD-SL
EDIT: (3-19-20) The company reached out to me and offered to send me a replacement because they felt confident it would work with my pedals. I got the item maybe 3-4 business days after I gave them my address. The pedals were very easy to install this time around however uninstalling them was a huge pain. I don't have the force to take them off by hand. They recommend using a tool which they don't provide. Luckily I had a small spare hex wrench laying around and that did the trick. Still a cool idea for people who do city or stop and go cycling and don't want to clip and unclip constantly but also do more gran fondo rides were clipless pedals and their efficiency make more sense. The platform has a diamond like pattern on it that does have a good amount of traction however the SPD-SL pedal is pretty small to begin with so this simply doesn't compare to the width of traditional platform pedal however is more stable than it you tried riding on SPD-SL pedals with regular shoes. All in all I probably should have just gotten dual platform SPD pedals since I do 60% city and 40% gran fondo riding. This is a great concept to be able to convert your SPD-SL pedals into platform pedals whenever you want and doing so at a reasonable price. However these would not fit my brand new Shimano 105 PD-R7000 SPD-SL Pedals. At first I thought maybe it was due to my pedals tension but they were already set to the lowest setting. Clipping in with my cleats on the same pedals was no problem though.

Useless - don't fit Shimano Ultegra or PD-R550 pedals
I have the Shimano SPD-SL Road Bicycle Pedals - PD-R550 (Black) on my e-bike, and the Shimano 6800 Ultegra Clipless Pedals on my road bike, both SPD-SL pedals. These Thinvik SPD-SL adapters didn't come close to fitting the Ultegra pedals. They at least came close to fitting the PD-R550's, but I pushed as hard as I dared and could not get them to engage. It's possible that if I pushed really, really, really, really hard I might be able to force them into the pedals, but I was afraid to push any harder for fear I'd literally never get them out. It's too late to return these, but I ended up buying the Acacia Bike Pedal Clip Platform Adapter For Clipless Pedals Shimano SPD LOOK KEO (SPD, NOEMAL) adapters. The Acacia adapters fit perfectly in both pedals, and require just the right amount pull to come out of both pedals. The Acacia adapters are the winners. These Thinvik adapters are useless.

Great product. Easy to install.
These are much more robust than I expected and very easy to install. Many people are complaining that they are hard to remove, but they unclip relatively easily the same way you would unclip your shoes, by rotating your heel, or in this case the back of the clip, outwards. I also appreciate that these are bigger than other available adapters and have a few plastic pegs for better grip.
