The UGREEN USB card readers are great micro sd card readers . They’re reliable, simple, and just work every time. My only real issue is that I keep losing them when I actually need to use one because they’re so small and easy to misplace. The reader is extremely easy to use and supports both micro SD and full-size SD cards with no issues. I’ve bought several of these over time purely because I keep losing them, not because they stop working. As a bonus, they even work with PSP memory cards, which was a nice surprise. Overall, it’s a solid, card reader that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The only downside is that it’s so portable it’s almost too easy to misplace.

Compact and easy to use between SD and Micro SD with good speeds via usb 3.0. Construction is very cheap and you should be careful when inserting a micro sd. Works fine with Linux and Mac. Windows however, for some reason 11 likes to treat this adapter as a bootable drive... I don’t think this is UGREEN’s fault though; I mean an issue that stupid could only be the fault of Microsoft. But no other adapter or usb device logs that error for me. Just this adapter.

This worked great for what I needed. My new computer does not have a slot for reading SD cards. I bought this adapter so I could view pictures from my trail cam. Worked great for that purpose.

Before upgrading to this SD card reader docking port I've had the stock adapter's that would come with all of the SD cards I've purchased in time. This docking station goes directly into your USB in most computer or laptops. It has dramatically increased transfer speeds with my SD cards , mini & regular sized. For the computers and laptops that do not already have card readers installed, this is a great EDC to a camera operator or digital file horder. It will prompt a file location as a drive on your computer or laptop. You can simply either copy & paste the files from the card(s) how you usually would a file on your platform/OS; Or you can click & drag photos/files/videos ect from the file/folder pop up either on your desktop or by searching your computer. Copying & pasting the files from the cards to the laptop/comp does not mean the photos/vids/files have been deleted from the SD card(s) to give you more space. You will have to manually delete the files once you have transferred them unless you'd prefer to keep them on the card as well for back up. By using an SD card you have far less moving parts than in an external hard drive. There are many levels on purchasing SD cards as for speed ratios. Be mindful of the speed rating on your SD cards as they will not be able to transfer faster than rated. Good thing SD cards are so much less expensive than just a couple years ago. They are compact as this hub is. I've washed SD cards before and dried them as well with high efficiency washer and dryer on accident & the cards still work fine. It's impressive what these can store as well rugged portability. I recommend SD and a good hub over external hard drives any day. The key is buying from a reputable seller/company so you are not sold a possible defective card or transfer USB port. This seller/company & port are a must have for myself.

I've been using this SD card adapter for 2 years now and it's still kicking strong. It reads all my cards perfectly. I always insert a card fully into the reader with a full-size adapter. If you try to put a microSD card into the reader it can sometimes get jammed in there. I have plenty of adapters to full-size SD cards, so this doesn't both me, but it is something to note. I once had to get a MicroSD card out of this adapter with a pair of tweezers. I like this product a lot for all my computer projects it makes reading SD cards easy on all my laptops and desktops. For $10 or so it's a good value and I'm glad I own one because it's held up well over the last two years.

This is a great adapter, and works very fast on a 3.0 port. I found it except in all the cards that I had, no matter what the format. It is very sturdy, yet not much larger than a standard flash drive. This is a must-have for anything but either needs to transfer around SD cards and like Pros: its compact about the size of an average flash drive. It has many inputs and accepts any format I threw at it. It runs very fast on a 3.0. When I used it with fast access card it took full advantage of the car and ran at 80 MB a second. I tried a faster card and did the same. Cons: For me I found these micro-ST cards were not clear what direction they were supposed to go in. That's an easy fix simply flip it upside down and put it back in. Hardly a con but I had mentioned it just in case someone is trying to the card in and doesn't think it fits. This also may be because I have several adapters and depending on what the markings are and the names of the adapters depend on what is top what is bottom and depends on which way your USB slot is facing. So this is not a con was is something I ran into myself .I highly recommend this card adapter. I've used it many times and no problems whatsoever it's very sturdy
