I bought the ORICO 128GB SATA SSD to upgrade an older desktop, and it’s made a huge difference. The installation was easy, and the speed improvement is very noticeable. Boot times are now super quick, and everyday tasks like opening files or launching programs feel so much smoother.While it’s not the fastest SSD out there, it’s perfect for basic use or as a secondary drive. I’ve been getting excellent use out of it. For the price, it’s a fantastic value and a great way to extend the life of an older machine. Highly recommended if you’re on a budget and need something with descent capacity.

I mainly got this ssd to speed up an older laptop, Overall I think this is a pretty good option for the pricepoint(19.99 at the time of reviewing) as it offers a decent write speed . I would mainly recommend this drive if you intend to upgrade a secondary computer, or want to use it with a device like a raspberry pi.

I received this a day early...always nice. I put in my laptop and installed Linux Mint with no issues. It runs nice and fast. We will have to see about longevity.

Great way to keep older systems running better than new. Fresh install your OS and reload all your backed up files for a brand new experience. Stop the upgrade madness, throwing money away on new computers every few years for no good reason. Simple ways to maintain and stay current are all around. Use an SSD like this instead of a older mechanical hard drive and bump up your system memory to the max. Spend a small fraction of money and you'll be surprised how long your older system can stay useful.

Cloned a 500G spinning drive to this 1TB SSD with no problems using DiskGenius.

It's a little hard to rate an SSD since endurance is a big part of how good or bad one is. It takes some time to see if a lot of writes will affect it's health, unless you run a tool to wear it out as fast as possible. So besides the endurance, I think this is a fine SSD especially for the price. The performance is on par with almost any other SATA SSD and doesn't disappoint. Everything loads as quickly as expected, and is of course miles ahead of and mechanical. For 20 bucks the 256 GB capacity is plenty, great for freshening up an older laptop or pc that's still on a mechanical HDD.If the capacity is right for your application I don't see any reason to spend any more money than what this one is asking for.
