Blue Dragon Rich Hoisin Sauce, 190ml

Hoisin sauce is the sauce you get from the Chinese if you order crispy duck pancakes.It's a very thick, sweet sauce, which is perfect with poultry.It is not what you would call healthy.It is 60% sugar and 8% salt. So do be aware.It's delicious as an occasional treat, but I don't think I'd want to be eating it everyday.It does contain wheat, so is unsuitable for a gluten free diet.It's main ingredients other than sugar, are soybeans and sesame seeds.It is suitable for vegans.Overall, although not exactly good for you, this is a lovely, thick sticky sweet sauce that makes a beautiful marinade for chicken or duck. Either spread over as is, or make it into a thinner sauce by diluting with water/white wine.I hope you found this review helpful.

Best taste could do with a bigger bottle

Amazing sauce, the best hot sin I ever tasted, and its vegan, so its suitable for a variety of dietary requirements.This stuff seems to go with pretty well everything savoury. I don't eat puddings so I don't know if its good with sweet stuff too, but I'm sure someone somewhere has. Its really tasty and more- ish and it makes great marinades. It seems difficult to purchase this anywhere else, although I did notice it in a sainsbury's store last week, about the same price as on Amazon (£1.50),but no other supermarkets so far. Its a really good sauce, top marks from me.

I really enjoyed this hoisin sauce as a dipping sauce for rice paper rolls. The last sauce I bought (cant remember the brand) was absolutely terrible, so I was apprehensive about trying this sauce. Thank goodness it is delicious and tasty! Also, Blue Dragon packaging on their sauce is good and sturdy.

Great product only issue it's in a plastic bottle I preferred that in a glass bottle or 100% recyclable package
