Hampton Forge – Lexington Mirror – 48 Piece Flatware Set with Steak Knives , Service for 8

I bought this because it matched a set I already had. When it arrived it was so lightweight, it looked like toy flatware. There is no way to tell how lightweight it is from the picture. I returned it.

I had some pieces from a set I purchased 8 years ago, so instead of starting over looking for new flatware that I like, I saw this and made the purchase. To my surprise this set not only has the standard forks, spoons and butter knives, BUT it has a set of 8 Steak Knives included and they are sharp! I haven’t had an issue with rusting like a prior post described, and they’ve been in the dishwasher, hand washed and air dried.

I ordered this so that I could have an extra set that was supposed to match the one I have. Although the name is the same and it looks similar the quality is awful. Every piece is thin and feels flimsy. I would not put this on my table. My original silverware is of a heavy high-grade quality. I returned this product. I would not buy this if you are trying to match this set against the original.

Very light metal. Bends easily. Not worth it if you're looking for a quality utensil.

The steak knives rusted the second time they were run through the dishwasher. They are terrible quality, though the rest of the set has not done this. I had an old version of this set that I was trying to add to due to missing pieces and thought the steak knives would be a nice addition, but they are basically garbage.

I have the same brand and style purchased several years ago from Costco. I wanted to add to the set we have and was very disappointed with the quality of the new ones. They are cafeteria quality at best where the originals are superb. I returned them.

Looks great for the money, but does not look expensive. Does not include additional serving pieces as stated. Very Pleased.
