They don't work, very poor quality
I ordered these for my son at university so that he did not have to mark the walls at his halls. He said they arrived stuck to the packaging, they then do not stick to the wooden door - he only wanted them to hang his shopping bags and a couple of jackets but absolutely useless.

Excellent Product
I purchased these hooks as I wanted to hang some Christmas stockings on the fireplace without damaging the paint, and these hooks were perfect.

Not heavy duty
I purchased these hooks to attach an A3 calendar to the side of kitchen cupboard, they did not remain stuck for more than a couple of hours before falling off. I reapplied numerous times then gave up.

Good suction cup depending on the surface
I got these suction cups mostly for towels, for which they work well. The mechanism itself is fairly simple, just place the cup on the surface where you want it while keeping the hook perpendicular to it, then pull the hook downwards to create a vacuum and allow the cup to stick. After that, it's all good.I do have a couple of caveats though:- The cups stuck to their packaging when I opened it, and I had to remove all backing sheet residue first, which took a bit of time. I tested without cleaning it at first, but as I suspected, the cups won't properly stick if they're not 100% clean before placinbg them.- These cups work best on glass/ very smooth surfaces. Bit of simple physics to keep in mind: if you place the cup astride over two smaller tiles (for instance, like the tiling on the wall above my sink, made of 2x2 cm tiles), the suction effect can't take place due to the grout in between creating a breach. Again, that's kind of obvious, but worth keeping in mind.
