Saved my deck garden in the hot summer months! Originally bought it for tending to my deck garden while on vacation but left it as it was so convenient. The reservoir was an easy solution for me as I had a 5 gal long bucket collecting the water collected from the A/C unit but I can’t see how difficult it would be to periodically fill a container to pull from

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm sold on this, I'm getting another setup going and found my automatic watering. I've read the reviews on other solar watering and what I've read scared me. I luckily came across this one and the reviews are right, this one works and they even have the solar part down pat. It has recharged itself since I've got this and its charging through my grow lamps. It's a self support system for growing plants. Highly recommend Ease of use: So simple a child could set this. I didn't read the instructions because everything is right there and super easy to figure out. Leakage: The t's and watering spikes run smoothly and no leaks at all Battery life: Should last forever with my lamps recharging the solar panel. Battery stays full Timer: Very simple to set and operate Watering capacity: Like the fact that you can use it in 3 different modes. Automatic, humidity and manual. Once you set the time then the only real chore is to make sure the bucket is filled, Durability: This is plastic so I wouldn't man handle the pieces and everything fits perfectly and snuggled so the tubing and packaging was perfectly done so nothing kinked or broken. It functions well to water up to 15 plants, and it is easy to set. I deduct a star due to the interval can only be set up to 7 days, but some of my plants only needs water every 2 weeks in the winter. It also lacks of a count down days.

This solar irrigation system is great to use when you’re on vacation or even year round to simplify watering of your plants! The display panel is very easy to read and even easier to program as you turn the function knob to set up a program or to manually water the plants. The system comes with a solar panel to recharge the system or if you’re using this indoors there is a USB charger cord to keep the system running. Everything is included to set up your plant watering system with this purchase! Purchased this system because I was going on a vacation and I needed to keep my plants alive when I was gone. It worked great!

Having used this for 6 weeks this system really works. I am fairly useless and inconsistent at watering plants manually, and they now - for the first time ever - look like they have a conscientious owner. Even when I am not here for a week or two (why I bought it in the first place) during really hot dry weather. I don't have a water butt, and initially ran this out of a 10L bucket. I don't recommend that. 10L only lasted about 5 days, and rubbish can fall into it. I managed to recycle a 25L plastic ex-industrial jerry can (cleaned thoroughly), and drilled a hole in the cap for the feed hose, and a small breather hose. That is enough for 2 weeks. My most critical plant is a 2m high avocado tree, that I have previously managed to almost kill many times. Even 3 days neglect causes leaves to shrivel, and eventually drop. I have two watering spikes in that one, so it gets twice as much as the others. It's put on more growth since I bought this, than in the previous 4 years and looks really happy. I'm not convinced the humidity probe works - it never initiated a watering cycle when I tested in in soil that I would have expected to trigger it. But timed waterings definitely do. I am rather surprised but pleased that delivery to each plant is so equal, even though they are at several different heights. I have one of the watering spikes hanging in a watering can, which means I can see at a glance how much water is being delivered to the dozen or so pots. The pump makes a slight 'buzz' noise when operating, but nothing intrusive. The solar cell doesn't get much direct sun here, but even in shade certainly creates enough charge to support far more delivery than I need without running down the battery. I do wish additional OE hose and fittings were available. I bought some aftermarket and they are a lower quality and a poor fit even though specified for the same size hose. It's effective, efficient and. so far reliable. Plants are much bigger, healthier and greener than in the photo, which I took on the day I installed it
