Holly stone hs360s
So I debated for a while as to which drone to buy. Iโm new to all of this and didnโt want to spend to much on a first drone. I kept getting drawn back to this hs360s and decided after a while to take the plunge! It arrived the next day after ordering it and I was keen to get started. I had read the set up was tricky but to be honest it was very straight forward and easy to follow. So far so good. The drone seems well built although I donโt have previous drones to compare it too. It also came with spare propellers which I didnโt expect. Then I tried to connect my iPhone 14 pro max. I thought it had connected and sent my drone up. No image on my phone! Yet the drone was flying well and very stable in a slight wind. The return home worked well but I was struggling with my phone. I tried my sons phone and it connected straight away hence the photo. After a few more test flights using my sons phone it was quite easy to get to grips with the drone and I have to say although the image is quite dark(it was late evening) the quality seems good. So back to my phone. Getting frustrated now as still no image. I contacted customer service and they were exceptionally quick to respond and tried everything for me but to no avail. Now this is where I feel a bit daft. I decided to look at my phones charger socketโฆit was full of dust and muck!!!! Once cleaned out hey presto connection straight away. By now though it was to dark to fly! Overall impressions a good little compact drone that seems well built. Image quality seems good and for the price Iโm happy with what I have got. Also comes with a camera protector and a handy case. Looking forward to a bit more air time tomorrow. I will update the post if anything changes but for me this is a great drone for the price.

Superb starter drone
I absolujtely love this drone. I have had a few 'cheap' alternatives and while they were fun to play around with, I really wanted something a little more advanced. When Amazon had this on offer, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. In the box is a nice quality carry case that contains everything. The drone itself, the controller, battery, chargers, documentation and other cables. A nice surprise was a full set of replacement blades as well. All really neatly pakaged. On taking the drone out of the case it is clear it is a quality pieve of kit. It feels sturdy and well built. The prop arms fold out and lock in place with a satisfying clunk. Setting the drone up is simple. There is a short calibration sequence you need to complete which takes no more than a couple of minutes and is clearly documented, then you are good to go. Don;t forget to take off all the protective film covering the various sensors and camers. Then, simply download the Ophelia GO app, connect your mobile phone to the drone's WiFi hotspot, and you are good to fly. A quick press of the LOCK button to initialise the drone, then a tap of the 'auto take off' function on the control and the thing will hover perfectly stable at around 3-4 feet. Controlling it couldn't be simpler, especially if you have any model flying experience at all. The drone is very responsive while still feeling very forgiving of slightly more abrupt input. My first flight was in a steady breeze and it handled it very well indeed. The camera is fantastic, especially for a drone at this price. Yes, at around 500g with the battery you will need to do the CAA registration (ยฃ9) and sit a 40 question, open book multiple choice online test (which is very straightforward - you need 30 correct out of 40), but this is well worth it! If you have been considering this drone but, like me, were hesitating wondering how it would match up against more expensive rivals - give it a go. You will definitely be surprised!

Brilliant folding drone easy to fly quality camera. don't bother doing a review for free battery BS
When you get this drone you will be asked to submit a review which I did and they will send you a spare battery. Don't bother its BS and they will try to fob you of with the battery are out of stock and offer you a toy drone or if you can wait then they will send you a battery. Still waiting 6 months on despite sending emails to Holy Stone. The H720 is a very well built folding drone. Plus the Holy Stone H720 drone comes with a case saving me ยฃ40. Much better value for money. Drones I have had cannot be flown very high because a slight breeze will blow them off course, the H720 is heavier (well built) than my other drones I have had and do not suffer from this problem plus the GPS keeps it on track. You will need a drone license but very easy to do online only cost ยฃ9 for I think 3 years. Its very easy to start and once linked to the Ophelia app you can see the view from the camera and operates seamlessly. The one touch take off and land is awesome it hovers at about 4,5 foot then stays exactly where it is. I used the return home function and that surprised me, pressed the button in the garden and it took off into the air to 49 feet then came into land, I read the instruction (should of done that first) that is what it should do to avoid houses and trees returning home. The weather has not been that good to try out all the features but I have used it from full charge for about 15 minutes only went down 1 LED. 20 minutes plus battery life this is a big selling point and longer lasting brushless motors. The charger has 2 ports and charges two battery one at a time you can leave on over night and both are charged. The flight is great very responsive and a lot of fun to fly. Camera is adjustable up and down in flight and the 4k images is brilliant. I have used the follow me mode which works great and the point plotting is really nice. All in amazing value for money and would highly recommend. The Ophelia app very good it has your flight log and the camera setting to change from 2k to 4k imaging. Stores the links to both photos and videos that you can download. Love this drone so much fun

Excellent drone for the price, huge step up from budget models
I ordered the Holy Stone HS360S and flew it today for the first time. Honestly, Iโm very impressed. This drone is on a completely different level compared to a cheaper ยฃ80 drone I owned before. The difference is night and day. What I really like: It holds its position perfectly thanks to GPS no drifting, no random flying away Very responsive and predictable controls, feels fully under control Wind resistance is surprisingly good for its size Video quality is excellent for the price, much better than expected Stable flight makes it enjoyable, not stressful I flew it together with my son and we both had an amazing time. Instead of constantly correcting the drone, you can actually enjoy flying and filming, which makes a huge difference. This feels like a proper GPS drone, not a toy. For the price, itโs an excellent choice and Iโm really happy with the purchase. Highly recommended for beginners and family use.

Top quality construction in a mid price drone.
Having purchased a drone last year in this โprice bracketโ and been disappointed with its performance I was somewhat reluctant to purchase a 2nd drone. But after my wife enquired what I wanted for my birthday I said a drone. From the moment I unboxed it and saw the included case (which is often an extra with other drones) I realised it was a quality product. The feel of the drone and the way the props unfold โsaidโ it was of a high build quality. After charging the battery and reading the instructions, I was keen for its maiden flight but also very apprehensive as the local weather was a little windy โ so I delayed things. Next day there was still some breeze but I was keen to fly it so walked to my local park. It takes just a few minutes to pair to the remote and the phone app and set it up to connect to GPS โ it picked up 16 satellites very quickly. Whilst recommendation say not to use drones in windy conditions, I need not have worried - using the one key take off button it lifted and held its position perfectly just above my head in the breezy conditions. For the next 20 minutes or so I put it through its paces with a smile on my face โ it performed perfectly. By downloading local maps before I left home I was able to try out the follow me mode and was very impressed as it followed me around the field just 20โ above and behind me. The green battery level indicator lights at the rear and the red and green led lights underneath make it very easy to always know which is front and rear, and there are also โlanding lightsโ underneath which can be switched on, so it is very easy to fly even for beginners. I soon became confident enough to use the high speed and was very impressed with its speed and the way it held its line from one end of the football pitch to the other. I have flown it virtually every day for the last week and also fly it in my back garden โ this was something I was not keen to do with the previous drone as I have quite few trees and obstacles to avoid and was not always confident the drone would avoid them. The return to home feature is great, when activated the drone gains height to avoid obstacles etc. and then flies to above the take off point and slowly descends adjusting itself slightly to touch down within inches of where it took off. The battery level indicator lights still showed there was plenty of power left, so am confident that the stated 25 min flight time is easy to achieve. The transmitter/remote is easy to use and uncluttered with a nice fold out section to attach your phone, and buttons clearly marked with their functions. Customer support is 1st class - I misunderstood some of the details in the instruction book (because I was speed reading) and after emailing support got a response in hours. I have included some photos that also show the remote that indicates the height and distance and battery information โ very useful to know The quality of the photos which are now 4K with this new model are in fantastic detail and the videos are very good as well โ this model also has a zoom.

Clunky, trips off, Poor controller battery
Looks nice, but the instructions are clunky, unable to get it out of GPS mode, anytime you press the button for two seconds the controller goes off. The connection takes forever. It connects on the controller but does not connect on the phone, The controller goes off when you click non power buttons, only way to connect to the app is via the controller, so the phone drains the battery of the controller. Very difficult to setup, not user friendly at all. Poor setup design and battery of the controller appears to drain but when you put it back up says there is battery, then goes to zero... It's just a terrible product for the price... Needs to be more intuitive and it is not.

Great value for the price .
Thought I would give the drone hobby a try my mobility isn't what it used to be and needed something that I could take an interest in. So thought I'd give the drone hobby a try . After hours of searching the Internet watching videos and reading reviews I chose the hs360s. My wife bought it me for Christmas. The drone and controller have a nice well built feel to them. I couldn't wait to try it out but I held back and read the instructions which are clear and easy to follow. Also searched up online and watched videos to familiarise myself with the drone. Found it really easy to fly as you have many features to help you control its flight one of them the return to home button where if you panic or something goes wrong at the press of a button the drone will return to where it took off . I've flown this drone quite a few times now and finding out easier at every outing. The hs360s is full of features you find in drones 3 or 4 times the price . The only fault if you can call it that is the video feed which because it has no gimble can be a bit jumpy but may improve has my piloting gets better but not to bad the photos are realy good though . I now find myself looking out of the window at the treetops checking the wind hoping to get out flying lol .

What a relief!
I received a much cheaper drone as a Christmas gift, which was faulty and had missing parts. Not to mention an unintelligible 'instruction manual'. After arranging its return and refund, I stumped up the extra and ordered the HS 720. It arrived on the same day, which was amazing enough. The drone was very well packaged, the instructions easy to follow, and once the battery was fully charged, I was up in the air in about 20 minutes and teaching myself to fly. Pure joy. Battery life is pretty good, but I will get a second battery soon. The only issue I had was with the app, my fault because I downloaded the incorrect one for the drone - so be sure you get to right - it will save a day or two of angst. I've used the poor flying weather to read up on drone regulations and take the flyer test with the Civil Aviation Authority (in the UK), and now I am looking forward to some clear days to get some fun flying and some great video footage of our surrounding woodlands. For its price, this is an excellent drone to get going with. Update on 8 February 2021: Long story short, my last flight ended in a crash and damage to a car. Heartbreaking! It seems that the Ophelia app lost control and the drone behaved erratically. It was impossible to regain control. Customer support from Holy Stone was quick and very courteous. It was a little more protracted than usual because of negotiating the car damage, but in the end, through language and time zones we ended up with something agreeable to all parties. Top marks for the efforts Holystone put into customer satisfaction. I have received a replacement (within 48 hours of being promised it) and when the weather clears up, I look forward to getting back up in the air and testing the updated Ophelia app. [UPDATE 19 Feb 2021: the HS270E flies very well, and I enjoyed a full two batteries worth of flying, testing the features, and getting some great images and footage. The addition of EIS is much appreciated.] Holy Stone make good beginner drones. If you are brand new, the HS720 and HS720e models will get you in the air and recording good footage very quickly. My advice is to find an empty field, practise at a low height, until the controls are well understood, including the programmable manoeuvres and camera actions, before you go high and far. Do stay legal! Do read up on drone etiquette, and if getting great footage is your aim, look on YouTube for lots of helpful advice.

Excellent support for a really good drone.
For the price, this drone is excellent. Pros -Easy to fly. -Stable. -Decent quality video. -Nice travel case. -Roughly 300-400' FPV of range using a Samsung tablet (pro tip, disable other wifi networks. If they are left on and it fly's out of range the tablet/phone will switch back to the houses wifi). -The GPS waypoints work great. Seem to be limited to 5. -Very responsive support. Had an issue with vegetation appearing red due to a missing filter in the camera. Fast and courteous support that quickly resolved the problem. -Very good value for the price. Cons are really things that require a more expensive drone. A much more expensive. -Motor kill switch has to be held for several seconds before stopping the blades. Seems like a lifetime while the drone beats itself to death. -Landings can be tricky, you either want to land on pavement, or if landing on grass you need to hold the kill button as it descends into the grass. Landing on large tables are tricky, I would recommend against trying. -Seems to be limited to 5 GPS way points. Always make sure the last point is close so you can get the drone back. You can set a path that goes out of range of the remote. The remote seems to be good out to between 300 and 400'. -The app is a bit awkward, but it is good enough for the price. Works really well using an android tablet. Would recommend a tablet with a music stand over a phone. -If you point the camera at the sky, the ground appears dark.

Highly Impressed!
Wow! Letโs start with the disclaimerโIโve never flown a drone but I do have fairly extensive experience flying RC aircraft (both fixed wing and helicopters). So maybe not a complete beginner/novice. However this drone is an absolute dream to fly. Highly stable and very forgiving. I love the features that make it so much more relaxing to operate. I do have a couple negatives that are nuisances mostly. First, connecting the drone to my phone via WiFi was not easy and seems to be very sequence dependent. The manual is not the best for accomplishing but I was finally able to get everything connected and working. Second, as I eluded above, the manual is rudimentary at best. They could do a much better job explaining the individual features of the drone like โHeadless Modeโ (something Iโll just have to figure out on my own). Failsafe mode definitions appear conflicting โFSM will be triggered if the transmitter signal is lost for more than 6 seconds.โ But then in red below โIf there is no GPS signal or the transmitter signal has lost for more than 6 seconds the drone will not return-to-Home....โ. I think they meant to say โandโ because โorโ conflicts with the whole purpose of the FSM. The only other slight disappointment is the camera tilt is manual so once itโs set your stuck looking at that angle until you land and can change it. However, the picture and video quality are outstanding. Last bit of advice...Take some time to learn to fly it. Use a build up approach to familiarize yourself and you will find your skills grow and the fun increase with each flight. All in all, this is a very well designed drone and exception for the price.

Great buy for younger kids looking for a drone with camera and video!
I am super impressed by this drone! I bought it for my 9 yr. old son for Christmas. He wanted one of the more expensive drones after having had bad luck with less expensive and frankly cheaply made drones. Honestly though, I wasn't ready to spend a huge amount of money for a drone he might easily break because he's 9 and accidents happen. This cost $130 on sale. He absolutely loves it! It's relatively simple and straightforward to use. It has tons of great features. He has already figured out how to do most things with the drone. He is still learning some and will continue to figure more out which I think adds to the excitement. This pic of the sunset over our neighborhood is one he took the day after he got it. Not bad for a 9 yr old with a $130 drone after just one day! The one issue I have is that I am not huge on the controller. It works fine by itself and it is easily held but it absolutely will not hold my phone as pictured in the instructions. We have to rubber band it onto the controller. Not ideal for an expensive phone being handled by a 9 yr old while trying to control a drone. Overall though... we are super happy with it. The Holy Stone HS510 is a reasonably priced hobby level drone with great features found on much more expensive drones. It is easy to use, seems very well made and sturdy and is out of this world exciting for my 9 yr old! I highly recommend this... especially for children who want a nicer drone with camera and video capabilities like they see in their YouTube videos and parents who aren't keen on spending $350.

High Quality Drone with loads of features
While this isn't my 1st drone (I own 3 others) it is my 1st "non-toy grade" one. As there are literally hundreds of drones to choose from these days, I did a LOT of research before purchasing. I watched endless YouTube videos, read through dozens of drone forums and read many drone/tech site + Amazon owner reviews. I chose the HS510 because it seemed to offer a great mix of features, performance and positive owner feedback at a reasonable price. After receiving it, familiarizing myself with it's operation and flying it numerous times, I'm happy to report it delivers everything I'd hoped for and more. The amount of tech packed into this drone is impressive given it's price. Every feature I've tried out so far - GPS position hold, return-to-home, optical flow sensor and auto take off/landing - work as advertised. The camera takes pretty good pictures (see attached) and video when saved to an onboard microSD card - I haven't tried saving pics or video directly to my phone and will likely just skip that. The fact that the drone is foldable, came with (2) batteries and a nice little carrying case to store & transport everything was just icing on the cake. I was so impressed with the HS510 that I ended up ordering Holy Stones newest drone (the HS720E) to try doing a little higher-end aerial photography/videography. (EDIT: My only complaint regarding the HS510 is that it doesnt come in black, which makes it easier (for me at least) to spot when the drone is at a higher altitude. Since this is more of a personal preference than anything I didn't factor it into my rating.)

Reliable beginner drone to learn on, very helpful support
This drone is a rebranded Bugs 7 so parts are easy to find for it! This drone itself flies well and it is very stable once it has a decent amount of GPS satellites locked. The optical flow sensor is hit or miss, the sensor is very small so it needs to be close to the ground and very bright outside to work. It's easy for a beginner to control in slow mode and get used to the controls, and the brushless motors means it doesn't have issues with the motor overheating like some of the other drones I have owned. The camera is passable, but since it doesn't have a gimbal or anything it's more useful just to see where you're going than doing any real photo or video work. The range is good too - the controller will control the drone farther out than the video can get sent to your phone, and it has a light on the bottom that you can turn on to help locate it if you lose sight of it. I have not had any flyaways or even close calls like many other drones I have owned in the price range. The only real downside I have found is that it can drift a little even when there are no control inputs, so it is not as stable as far more expensive DJI drones - but for the price it is great. Another con might be that the controller starts beeping once it is at half battery - but it is helpful to have the reminder that you should be turning around soon. **Edit to add: From reading another review, the drifting might be due to needing to calibrate the gyro, which is a procedure not in the user manual. About 6 months after I bought the drone the batteries stopped working because they had started swelling. I contacted support to check if the warranty might be longer for the battery than the drone. Even though it wasn't, Cherry sent me a new pair of batteries anyway. Their support is so helpful! (I had some issues with motors on a previous Holy Stone drone several years ago and they were happy to send me replacement parts then too, so it seems their support department is consistently great!)
