Digital Visual Timer for Kids - Calmer Routines & Transitions

We bought this VISSE Digital Visual Timer (in green) a couple of months ago, and it’s been a game-changer for our family, especially for our autistic son who struggles with time awareness and transitions in the mornings. The gentle alarm wakes him up without me needing to go into his room repeatedly or nag him to get out of bed – he responds so much better to the soft sound from this little device than to a regular alarm or my voice. It gives him that independent start to the day, which reduces stress for everyone. What really makes it shine is the colorful circle countdown display with the smiley face. We set it for breakfast time (like 20-30 minutes), and he can visually see the colored dots disappearing as time passes. It helps him understand “when breakfast is done, it’s time to brush teeth and get dressed” without constant reminders. The visual cue is perfect for him – no abstract numbers to confuse him, just a fun, friendly face and changing colors that make time feel predictable and less overwhelming. Other bonuses: It’s rechargeable (no constant battery swaps), and the battery lasts an impressively long time – we charge it maybe once per week with daily use. Honestly, this might be one of my favorite purchases of 2026, lol. We’ve been using this with my toddlers to help them understand timing and work on patience. We set it for cleanup time, brushing teeth, calming our bodies in their room, transitions, and pretty much anything else you can think of. It has helped so much because it’s visual, easy for them to understand, and super easy to set. I also love that you can adjust the seconds easily, which has been better than other timers I’ve tried. Plus, it has a fun, kid-friendly vibe. But the funny part is, I use it for myself too. I work from home, and as a mom with ADHD, my brain can get overwhelmed with tasks and even just starting them. This timer has helped me break things down and actually get started. I’ll set a 15-minute tidy timer after bedtime, a 5-minute room reset to stay on top of cleaning, or a 30-minute timer to focus on a work task. We haven’t used the alarm setting yet because we haven’t needed it, so I can’t speak to that part. But overall, I highly recommend this for parents, kids, adults with ADHD, or anyone who does better with a visual timer!

This visual timer works very well and has been especially helpful for my grandson, who sometimes struggles with transitions between activities. I purchased it to help him understand when it is time to clean up and prepare to go home, and the visual countdown has made that process much smoother and less stressful for him. The timer itself is effective, quiet, and easy for children to follow. However, I was disappointed by how difficult it was to figure out the alarm settings and programming instructions. Once set up, it functions well, but the initial setup process could definitely be more user-friendly. Overall, it has been a valuable tool for creating calmer routines and helping with time management and transitions.

Learning about time is hard and this clock helps make time a little easier to understand. When you set a timer the color blocks count down and disappear which my boys get excited to see. They now suggest setting a timer to countdown to something they are looking forward to doing and it sure helps me out. We’ve set timers for sharing toys, working on lessons, until showtime or when we are headed out the door. It’s rechargeable and the battery lasts a long time. About a week before I had to charge it, but I’m sure that’s dependent on how often you are using it. The clock is nice to have while the timer is off. Very easy to control and a great addition to our home!

I LOVE these timers. I had a set in my classroom, and my kids loved playing with them so much that I got one for home, too. I love that they're visual, have both count down and count up functions, and they're super easy for kids to use independently. Great battery life, too. A must-have for all kiddos learning about time management!

Worked well and the kids loved using it however, it got dropped and busted the screen instantly. I realize it isn’t really a kids “toy” it looks like one. Probably won’t be replacing it. Very disappointed.

I always struggled getting my sons to do anything until I got them this timer. They find the color countdown very interactive and try to beat the clock as it goes down. It’s much easier for my littles to gauge how much time they have left and great practice for my bigger kids. As a mom of 4, I definitely recommend.

Me encantó su diseño y a mi hijo le encantó. Ya no eran tan molestos los timers. Sin embargo, hemos tenido problemas con la batería. Desde hace unos meses empezó a tardar muchísimo en recargarse, como dos o tres días. Se queda conectado y no prende hasta después de varios días. Es una lástima porque el producto nos había gustado mucho

Use this to encourage 4 yr old. Works well. This was her favourite as it has a face. I like the way it visualises time for her. Simple to use
