Hampton Forge Silversmiths Clark 4-Piece Forks,

Forks have a way of disappearing in our house. I like these forks because they are affordable, sturdy enough for my family & dishwasher and they come in a package of 4 versus 12. I would order these again with no hesitation. Some of the other feedback for these forks mention the tines being sharp and not perfectly aligned. The tines (or pointy parts of the fork) are sharper than other forks, but they aren't jagged or anything - the tips are smooth. AND yes, if you look at the tines from the top, they aren't evenly lined up, they are off just a fraction of being even. Bottom line, for my family, these are great - I don't need perfect forks, I need affordable, functioning forks and these fit the bill.

After years of eating with my fingers, a neighbor told me about these newfangled things called "forks". I am not one to dive into new technology, but after going to his house and seeing with my own eyes how "forks" worked, I thought I would give it a try. These Hampton Forge forks took me a while to figure out, but after some trial and error, I was able to not only spear my food, but I was able to get it to my mouth as well. Look out 21st century - Here I Come!!

The forks were ordered to match our pattern. They do, if you do not look closely. The old forks have a solid handle, the new ones have a groove the length of the handle down the center. I guess that is to save metal and produce a similar product for a cheaper price.

Excellent forks. Before I ordered them, I lived in a house with six humans, one shared kitchen, and about a dozen forks. Which sounds like it should be plenty! Yet there were consistently no forks in the drawer. Separately, I asked everyone I lived with if they'd seen forks, if they could return forks, and if they had any tips on how to eat with chopsticks or a slotted spoon... Everyone confirmed that we were (must be!) under siege from some unknown fork-stealing force, because they certainly hadn't taken the forks.So I ordered these. They were good forks-- they have enough heft that I don't think they'll bend easily, and I didn't find the tines to be too sharp as other reviewers did. Of course, I also can't find of them, except the one I hid in my bedroom. I also can't find any plates or bowls, the house discussed having a cage match over the last remaining spoon, and the butter knives are gone. Only mugs and steak knives remain-- so I may live in a third-rate saloon, but these forks are excellent.

The tableware is from China and it looks very nice. I supplemented my utensil with 8 each of the spoons, etc. BUT after washing in the dishwasher for awhile the forks began to taste weird as if the covering had come off the tines and you could discern the base metal, whatever that is.

For everyday use these are just fine. We bought them to add to our tableware drawer (we kept running out of forks) to replace others that had been lost or tossed. Obviously, we won't use these with our "good" stuff, but they look nice and have enough "heft" to use for any other time.

This fork is a good buy if you need some to add to your set for lost ones. I did not want an entire set and this has just the amt I needed.

These are nice plain forks, but do not have much weight to them. I love the spoons from this company, but the forks are a little lightweight for me.
