Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle

I would like to start off by saying that the Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle deck chose me, I did not choose the Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle deck =) Truth be told, I was initially looking for a deck of tarot cards since I only have experience with them. But while browsing through Amazon, this particular deck of botanical theme oracle caught my eyes, and I felt an instant connection. I knew I had to follow my heart and get this oracle deck. And I am so glad I got it!The entire set (40 cards + field notes/guidebook) comes in a sturdy box with a magnetic strip on the side which I absolutely adore. The artwork is simply stunning with a hint of femininity, and though the cards are pretty slim, the size of the glossy cards are not too big which makes shuffling smooth and easy. The 192-page field notes are written in a very graceful and straightforward manner that makes it extremely easy to understand - the field notes contain the description, usage, history, and meaning of the plants used in this deck, and of course the various methods one can use to do a reading.Overall, my experience with this deck has been extremely pleasant and calming. I would definitely recommend this oracle deck to anyone looking for clarity, guidance, and is not afraid to NOT follow the rules when it comes to a reading. Lastly, if you are a botanophile like me, you will definitely fall in love with this lovely botanical themed deck!*I have done one reading for myself so far, and the results were spot on and has provided me with some clarity in regards of my question. Also, you can use this oracle deck along side with your tarot cards.

I cannot get over how lovely this deck is. The artwork is stunning, and the field guide is packed full of information. I was expecting more of a typical oracle deck with how the author interprets things, but I would feel comfortable taking this with me on a hike to identify plants in nature. I appreciated the recipes that were listed in the back and would love to try them out. Lovely work, as always by Siolo Thompson!

This deck is beautiful, illustrated in that simple, elegant style we have come to associate with Siolo Thomson. The cardstock is thin but I didn't deduct for that as I usually would because overall the quality is great. The box is sturdy and holds the cards and book in place. The thick guide book is almost worth the purchase alone, with long descriptions and color illustrations for each plant and the wisdom we can draw from it. The books is actually a field guide and provides lots of useful information on how to use each plant. For me, as an oracle deck, it provides broad guidance, rather than specific advice. The book also has recipes and offers suggestions for activities.

I love this deck, both for the beauty of the artwork and the ties to botanical medicine. The field guide is wonderful and helps you learn about both the plant on the card as well as its significance and usage. There are also recipes throughout the book. I used this deck alongside my tarot deck for further clarification, given that this is an oracle deck and is more intuitive, as mentioned in the introduction. I really like the introduction and "How To" section that begin the field guide. Siolo beautifully explains the significance behind a Hedgewitch, ideas on how to use the cards, and how this deck came to be. Whether interested in the oracle side or the botanical side, this is a great buy. Just know that there is not an index to show which card is on which page, but the cards are alphabetical in the guide and still easy to find. I would definitely recommend this to others.

This deck is just lovely. And the box holds everything nicely in place while not in use. I appreciate that the book is a reasonable size and not a mini!

I love this deck! The simplicity of the oracle message, the incredible book that gives fuller understanding of the properties and history of the plant…also leading to a deeper understanding of the oracle message…lovely! The cards did come with a slight bend, seems to be a production issue. It’s not preferable, but the deck is still well worth it

So I had seen this particular set of tarot cards and being a green witch they immediately spoke to me. Let me tell you NEVER have i been so impressed by quality and design in my entire life it came in this adorable box with a magnetic open flap and the presentation is just beautiful. It also came with a pretty thick book explaining each of the 40 cards and what the mean and represent. The book alone is so beautiful but is soft cover and im afraid of "cracking the spine" not because of quality just because it's again gorgeous the cards themselves each have a unique illustration of the botanica in representation of the particular tarot card. If you see this deck please look no further it was well within budget for such a beautiful oracle deck.

The item comes in an a amazing box with a book and the most beautiful artwork of cards I have ever seen. Their are instructions on how to use the oracle, as well as important information regarding each particular card, and the best partis their are recipes one can use in drinks or in salads or meals, this more that just an oracle deck, it shows the author Siolo Thompson passion regarding plants and the amazing ways we can all benefit from them.

Esse deck é realmente muito bonito, e de excelente qualidade. Fiquei surpresa com o livrinho que acompanha, porque ele é enorme, o papel de qualidade altíssima, e cada carta é explorada em detalhes, o que me deixou encantada. A caixa é bem resistente e bonita, as cartas são delicadas e bem feitas. Muito bom, me surpreendeu.

Amazing oracle deck great for all levels of experience. Can be used as identification cards for plants as well as reading cards (although dont attempt to pick or use plants unless you are 100% sure that your identification is accurate, many plants are poisonous). Comes with an amazing guidebook with detailed descriptions and illustrations as well as history of the herb and it’s uses. The artwork on the cards is beautiful and the case for the cards is sturdy with a magnetic strip closing the box at the side, cards don’t slip behind the card holder within the box and is made of sturdy card stock. The cards themselves are also of high quality and are made of fairly thick card stock perfect for overhand shuffling (I’m not sure about riffle shuffling as I don’t use that method)

I love these cards and have been using them for months now. They are a nice quality, the minimalist illustrations are just my style and there is a handy little book with information about each plant.
