TransDeco Glass Multimedia CD/DVD Rack, Clear/Silver

Very easy to put together. Beautiful piece that fits in regardless of the room's decor style. Very sturdy. Being used to store a combo of Blu-ray, 4K-Blu-ray and a few DVD's. Easily fits bulky box sets, too.

Here's what I did to facilitate assembly: Set a standard on the foot of a queen or king-size bed, attach the feet, and then assemble the two back rods (six pairs). Then flip the standard end-for-end to add the forward rods. Once that is finished, place it on a carpeted floor at the foot of the bed, insert the six spacers on the rods and then attach the other standard. Finish by attaching the feet to the second standard. Stand it in position, tighten the screws, and attach the covers. Total time is about 30 minutes...and you won't need a second person. It'll probably take as long or longer to organize your CDs and/or DVDs than to assemble the rack!

...basically all the CD/DVD racks on the market look oldish even to my grandmother' eyes, the 'prestigious design' racks are, by far, not good for my pocket. Pros: 1) stilish 2) 'transparent' look 3) reasonably easy to mount (by 2 people) 4) almost a correct price. Considering the level of some details it could cost something less 5) very good packaging, my compliments! Cons: 1) the metal bars should be chrome and not (cheaply) brushed this would give a great sparkle and a much better look 2) the holes in the glass aren't 'smooth clean' but imprecise. Yes this is covered by the bars and the rings, but still... 3) surprisingly no gasket so "if you tight the bars (iron to glass) too much you'll brake the glass" 4) the base has no protection for the floor, I moved the rack on my wooden floor and made a scratch. I 'built' some protection with a self-adhesive felt 5) no regulation for the tilt-up Conclusion: I just bought the 2nd >:-)

I just assembled it, per the sheet of instruction. Everything fit together. Fantastic! Has hardwood floor. Used three bath towels (soft) and one welcome mat (hard - the kind people buy to place right outside their front door, but this one of mine has been kept indoor so it's not dirty). The hard welcome mat is for the feet ends to stand on it during assembling. The bath towels are buffers for the top ends of the glass side panels, and later for my knees when installing / tightening the screws and caps closer to the floor later. Tips: 1) Carefully read all steps in the instruction sheet before starting assembling. 2) The flat side of brass washer C is to touch the metal feet in step 1, not the other way around (I nearly made the mistake); see the enlarged illustrations in circles in steps 6 and 5. Eventually the metal cap B's are to be screwed onto the brass washer C's. 3) Follow the steps one by one. 4) Be patient when screwing the metal caps (B) onto the the brass washers (C) (during final step 6). 5) Buy some felt strip beforehand so that they can be installed under the feet to prevent the hardwood floor from being scratched. 6) Tighten the screws on the metal feet last after having placed the entire shelf upright at the intended location so that the the feet adjust to the surface to be steady (see step 6).

Everyone's streaming music & videos now, but for those folks like me who still have CDs & DVDs that you want to keep, this rack works perfectly. The glass sides and silver rod shelves make it look really classy.

This is a very good DVD/Blu-ray rack. It perfectly matches the decor of my living room. I was surprised how difficult it was to find a good-looking glass/chrome rack with this kind of capacity. The only downside is that it can take a little long to put it together if constructing it alone, but that's not worth removing a star...you only have to build it once.

Since this is all glass, it's important to pack it well for transit. Apparently it was not packed well, since it was completely shattered upon receipt. It's not safety glass either, so I got slivers of glass in my hands as I opened it with a half dozen small cuts. Definitely don't buy if you have children or pets who might knock it over. They could be seriously hurt. The picture makes it look beautiful.

You may think its a little pricey for a DVD holder but if you are going to have a DVD storage unit next to your $2000 Flat screen HD TV you may as well have it match the high-tech elegance. I have received a lot of unexpected compliments about this purchase. The glass did concern me but I don't have children or pets, nevertheless it is placed on a carpeted floor and its always stable. I have moved it fully loaded to clean behind and it remained steady. It's unique because you don see it in many other homes and it looks good next to your expensive media components. Heavy glass and sturdy metal is easily assembled!

Yes the item worked perfectly for my scarf collection. Highly recommend. Good quality, very well packaged.

Cet article à cause de ses côtés en verre, ne surcharge pas la piece. Le seul désavantage que j'y ai trouvé c'est que j'aurais mus plus de séparateurs en verre afin de mieux séparée mes DVD. Mais c'est un excellent achat. Je ne regrette rien
