The Unicorn Delusion: How to Kill Your Inner Basic B*tch

Wow
Great read, tips, perspective and points. What I really loved about this book was the empowering tone and the author’s focus on helping the reader realize that we must be honest, accepting, and loving to ourselves to attract like energy. When you live your life based on lies, illusions, and false direction and confidence, the people, energy, and situations you attract align with your fearful inner truth that you reject out of shame. You reject yourself (your true self) so you attract people who reject you as well because the truth always reveals itself no matter how confident, self-assured, and unfazed you pretend to be.The overall message of the book is don’t just read for a quick feel good and pep-talk and then go back to your usual way of thinking and operating. DO THE WORK. Challenge, reject, and change your self defeating beliefs and perceptions and you’ll change your reality. You create your own narrative. At any moment, you can choose to go off script, scrap your old notes and expectations, and change the narrative, focus, direction, and ending. It’s YOUR story. YOU have all the power. Recognizing and embracing this reality is the beginning of self-empowerment, self-direction, and actively exercising the undervalued freedom of choice that you give away when you become a passive character in your own story.I appreciate the author’s advice and how his writing approach focused on actually helping people transform without the bs generic life hacks and self-help books that capitalize on the vulnerabilities, fears, and insecurities most people have when it comes to emotions, relationships, and falling behind in life. Definitely worth the read!

Killing Your Pride & Illusion
This was a difficult book for me to read; the truth hurts. Have been single for 6 months and have come to terms with where l went wrong in my past relationship. Some things were my fault, and otherthings my ex was at fault with. This author has a way of predicting patterns, and speaks heavily on when guys fall back. For so long I have put the guilt and burden on myself, and realized my last relationship was never meant to be no matter how hard l fell for my ex. At the end of the day, my ex didn’t want me; he wanted gratification at his own convenience while stringing me along with a pool of other women. He was an “old fool” in the game with no dick discipline while putting God in the mix by saying” God told me that you were the one for me. To make matters worse, my ex even quoted bible scriptures claiming it was relevant to our situation. That is very dangerous: If you want to be a player, be a player and do you all day. Don’t do it in the name of the Lord for your personal gain. His fate is not good, and he will reap what he sows. God is not mocked; what a man sows, so shall he reap. In the end, this is a book that teaches you how to be responsible for your actions and to determine where you can make changes.Falling in love again and getting hurt can put a damper on your spirit. As the author is cognizant, women are emotional and have feelings. The author is great at cutting to the chase and through all of the bs. It has taught me to take a step back to view who l really am. Grew up very shy after my parents divorce, and that shattered me emotionally. It wasn’t my fault that my father left to be with other women, but there was a void in my life since my mother never remarried. My mother’s view in life is very pessimistic; when you’re around that crap day in/out it wears on you. Have come to the conclusion that l need a combination of God’s help and the authors because a spiritual release/healing is necessary based on my Christian beliefs. Definitely believe in the notion that there is someone for everyone. One last thing: Had a conversation with a gentleman the other day that works at Costco. Eye contact has always been hard for me to master when meeting strangers. The Costco worker was introduced to me after l was looking for a particular item. Although the conversation was a little awkward at first, l managed to provide some eye contact and extended my hand to shake his after advising him of my name. Within a minute or two, l saw the conversation shifting to a more positive tone. The worker then started asking me how often l shop at Costco, what were the benefits of the product, and gradually his body language became more open to me. Commented the product has benefits to reduce muscle soreness after working out, it can reduce cholesterol, naturally provide a good night’s sleep, etc. The more we started discussing the product, the guy became even more interested. Even commented that last was looking to get back into the gym after doing intermittent fasting for approximately 6 months. Received a compliment that l looked great and had a youthful appearance. Had to break away at the end because it was brought to this worker’s attention that another customer needed assistance. Noticed l had him on the hook because he quickly turned around to see who it was, and his body was facing me again. He reiterated again that l looked great and that made my day. It wasn’t about seeking “his” approval, it was about opening up to someone to prove that it was easy to talk to anyone about almost anything. That was the icing on the cake, and l have more practice to do. I deserve to be happy, and to find the man of my dreams. It’s my turn to have things work in my favor by taking chances and making slight adjustments.

LOVED IT!
Definitely a worth while read and explored all the ways a woman can truly see herself as the powerful divine Goddess she is. Very detailed and well narrated. I felt like an older brother was telling me how it is and reminding me of who I was!

Wow- Blowing All the Other Dating Books out of the Water
When I read this book, my jaw was literally on the ground- page after page. WTF, seriously?!! It's like he was following my around personally in my dating life. This book is raw, in your face and game changing for any woman who wants a man but doesn't have one. This is NOT a typical do to get book, if you want to level up, you have to empty the trash and in this case- it's killing your basic bitch persona. I liked this book so much I have now ordered his other book Ho Tactics after watching a few videos on youtube.

Insightful
This book has caused me to do some real thinking about my self, my relationship, and my life. It is fun to read but actually quite deep. One problem; this book and other books I have read by this author contain so many spelling and grammar errors it is distracting. I dont understand how the books can be of such high quality in every other way but have clearly never been professionally edited.

A no nonsense great read that goes against the grain
Many books in this genre discusses how women should position themselves to acquire attention from men. This book gives you concrete examples as to why that doesn’t work and ironically yields opposite results. Moreover, it gives you tools to explore your own set of values from the past and how to change them in the present and going forward.A Spartan in training!

A great life lesson book told from the perspective of a real brother
Made me think ALOT about my early 20s and the mistakes I made. I was also being used by both friends and family and it made me step back and look at myself. It also helps that it was written by a man and not having a positive male role model around except for men who wanted to sleep with me, made me feel like a brother who meant well was speaking to me.

I regret buying so many GL Lambert books at once
I purchased a whole bunch of books from this author... what a waste!First of all, I did not know that he was male - I do not care to hear a dude's perspective on SQUAT!But anyway... these books are full of spelling mistakes, missing words, poor layout, etc. Which makes it awefully painful to read, especially because he is obviously overly verbal. He puts in 100 pages what could be properly edited down to 12-15. Just a bunch of neverending blabber. A lot of material is also recycled from one book to the other...This dude is not even able to produce a single tweet in under 140 characters; I cannot imagine how his poor wife deals with this sort of madness on the daily. It also appears that he caters mostly to stereotypical US black women - I don't mind that, but at the same time as an upper-middle-class, white, childfree french-canadian lady who is into the hypergame, I did not relate all that much with most of his content. But i'll give him this: he does share some harsh and vital truths. If only someone could format it properly!

This No nonsense, tell it how it is self help book certainly helped me to identify certain behaviours that I needed to change, as a woman we do all do them, be honest with yourself and take the advice in this book and you will be enlightened, work on yourself before u work on anything else. Witty and cuts right the bulls***t I loved it! I have read it 4 times and passed it on or recommended to friends who have also found it very useful.
