Not for potatos
I ran a test using digital thermometers and the nail did nothing to speed the cook time of the potato. Also this discolors the potato and is potentially toxic so if you decide to replicate this experiment don’t eat the results. Otherwise they are sturdy and shiny and embody the essence of nail-ness that one would expect.

I got these to poison my neighbors tree roots in my yard.
I’m expecting these to work just fine.

Bent on 1st strike.
Bend after one hit with hammer. I guess that is to be expected with thin copper but wasn’t expecting it. They would be great if you can figure out a way to hit them into your selected material without bending.

NEED A STRONG HAMMER
I was trying to kill these tree bushes that kept growing back. Had to get my son to help hammer these into the stumps because they are so thick I could only drive them halfway in. They do kill the bushes after a few months but you should either pull them back out or saw under them after your done. Best to leave enough room in the stump to saw under the nails later. Any unsuspecting landscaper who saws into the tree or bush could get hurt when their chainsaw locks up on the nails.

Long term effect unknown
These look great, but it will take months to know if they work. We'll see!

Copper nails
Not sure about being worthwhile for it may take a considerable amount of time before they work well.
