Humax YouView Remote Control for DTR-T1000/DTR-1010

It works exactly as my old version. A couple of the buttons are slightly smaller, but fine to use. The quality is good and will withstand being dropped a number of times. Should this fail in a few years I would buy another, thus I can recommend this remote control.

Good value and quick delivery - works well !

After a disaster with a different replacement Humax remote, I tried this one. Good news, it works. Bad news, it isn't a genuine Humax remote, and it has different programming instructions to get it to work with the TV as well as the YouView box.My particular remote came with no cover for the battery compartment. I didn't bother to seek a replacement, because I still had the really bad remote that I tried first. Fortunately, the cover from that one fitted this one. This is ironic, as the genuine Humax remote has the battery cover attached with a flexible link, so it can't be lost.This remote comes with instructions for coding it to the TV. It uses a 4 digit TV code instead of the original Humax 3 digit code, and the button sequence for programming is different, but it works.The build quality is not as good as the original Humax control, but better than the poor one I tried first. The buttons don't get stuck in when you press them.Since the original Humax remote had stopped working properly on some buttons, this is an improvement, and I now have full control of my YouView box again, so for me, it is worth the money.As far as I can tell, you can't get a genuine Humax remote any more, except with the YouView box itself.

I really thought my very old humax you view box was on its way out. Somebody suggested I get a replacement remote control and see if that was the problem. Well, it arrived and once i put batteries (2xaaa)in i started using it. Unbelievable! The box worked like new with this remote. No pressing buttons multiple times to turn it on or off or access other features. One click and direct to the page i was looking for.If your having problems with your Humax box like i had, get one of these. I'm over the moon with mine.

Quick delivery and as described paid a bit more money! As the cheaper ones are not the originals! No blue Y button.

This is the 3rd one of these that I've bought recently. I have 2 Humax boxes where the original remote controls stopped working properly. I bought the first about 4 months ago, and as it seemed to work OK, I bought a 2nd one.The 2nd one was DOA, so returned it to Amazon and bought the 3rd. It worked for 4 weeks, then failed also. And now the first one has failed too - I still have a flaky original remote which mostly works, so I know it's not the recorder.Going to order 2 genuine remotes direct from Humax - might be more expensive, but there's a good chance they might actually do the job. Best to avoid these cheap imports!

I bought this hoping it would be a genuine replacement control, but like every other one I've tried, it is simply a cheap chinese knock-off of the original Humax controller. It is plasticky, creaks loudly whenever you press a button, and generally feels tacky and badly made. Based on experience, it will probably last a year or two before breaking. (Hence why I have to keep ordering new ones.)That said, it does the job, works perfectly well with my Humax DVR, and after a while you forget what it's like to handle a remote control that doesn't feel like it was glued together from broken pieces of kids' toys and empty crisp packets.Why it's not possible to simply buy a genuine Humax replacement, I don't know. But given that it does appear to be impossible, this is probably your best option. Just don't make the mistake of paying more than a bare minimum for it - they are all the exact same product, just at a variety of price points.
