Great remote, especially for the price. I love that it has 5 buttons for streaming and YouTube, plus the full number and settings pad for watching public channels. It looks identical to the older versions of the Sony Bravia remote, except that the back panel is not as secure, the Google assistant button is replaced with the Youtube button, and Google play is where the YouTube button was. There is no voice control on mine, but I would not have used it anyways. But given that the remote fulfilled my top requirements (preset streaming buttons, reliability, and price) I still give this 5 stars.

Somehow the original remote evaporated my Sony XR77A80CJ . I'm glad a cheap-ass knockoff is available. Having a Google Play button is weird. Can't figure out what it's for.

I occasionally misplace the remote for my SONY XR-83A90J OLED TV, and drop it more than is probably good for it, so I ordered this inexpensive remote as a backup. While this model is not specifically on the list, it's similar to others on the list, so I figured it would work. And it does. This remote is very lightweight and has kind of a cheap feel, but at this price point, that's not a deal breaker. It has a nearly identical form factor as my OEM SONY remote (see side-by-side photo with the silver SONY remote), and, as described is NOT a voice remote and does not have the bluetooth functionality of the SONY remote -- that means you don't have to point the SONY remote at the TV, but you do have to point this remote at the TV to be seen. This is described, so no penalty for that. This remote also has some additional buttons. All except the "Google Play" button worked for me -- that button worked the same as the HOME button. It may be that I didn't subscribe to something I needed to to make this work. I do wish it had a YouTube TV button, as that would be genuinely useful to me. The other problem I had was getting the sliding battery cover off, so I could put in some AAA batteries. I was a little surprised that they were not included, as most things I order that use batteries do include batteries. I had a great deal of trouble getting the battery cover to slide down and finally resorted to putting a razor-thin painter's spatula in at the top and giving it a twist. A flat-bladed screwdriver might also work but will certainly mar the soft plastic. Now that I've gotten it open once, it's not difficult to open it again. Still, harder than necessary. Anyway, it's a cheap, lightweight remote that I'll have hanging around as a spare for the next time I misplace my fancy SONY voice remote.

There's nothing to dislike, just pointed the remote at my Sony 55" TV and it worked all the functions on the TV and surround sound system, will never buy no other type of remote again.

Did not work very long. Poor quality

Works great with any new Sony TV, but the build quality feels very cheap.
