Perfect solution when you car has no screen for CarPlay
Amazing how this quickly adds Car Play when you have a car with no screen. Installed in an older lincoln MKS with no screen or CarPlay. Window mount is very sturdy. The power to an accessory outlet (cigarette lighter) is a snap as was plugin the sound in via a typical media cable. To clean up the look I ran the wires under molding as fast as as I could and then use some cable cover to make it look OK where cable was exposed. It wasn't all that hard to wire and mount the back-up camera---lots more cable hiding and running to trunk-lid (still easier than I thought). Hardest part was hooking the one lead in the trunk to a proper wire for the back up light (so camera initiates only when in Reverse). Found the wire harness near the rear tail lights and with some careful trial and error (carefully stripped a small slice from the wire was selecting and attached Carpuride camera wire with an alligator clip. Took me three tries before getting the right wire. The device has a great screen with ample adjustments for brightness etc etc. Sound is very good running through wire media plug (bluetooth wasn't an option). Did buy an inexpensive noise filter that fits onto the media plug to eliminate just a small amount of line static. Sounds perfect. Great way to have Apple Car Plar in a screen less vehicle. Works for google too.

Awesome features in a quality product.
Works as promised, camera quality and features are excellent. Only suggestion would be better mounting options. Screen size and resolution is great. Looks professional, and adds value to the vehicle features. Connecting to my IPhone using CarPlay was a breeze. I would recommend this product even though

Reliable with great features
Pretty damn good my old screen lost connection a lot and it was getting extremely anoyying but this has a wired option which removed that issue entirely but the wireless works exceptionally so far and hasn't done it once it has a built in equalizer as well that supports 3k hurtz (for bass) thats very nice to be able to adjust and the adhesive for the base does a great job even in the hot sun

Great unit and service
I got this unit a few months ago and I didn’t install the backup camera for a few weeks.. love the unit and once I installed the backup camera it was great, just what I wanted. Anyway to make a long story short the backup camera stoped working when I put it in reverse. I started to put it in camera mode and it worked. I started to check things out and a week or so later the rear camera stopped working altogether. I contacted support and they worked with me over several days and after trying several things hey sent me a new backup camera and wire. After receiving the new camera and wire I found out that when I install the wire leading from the backup camera to the unit I somehow pinched the wire and over time it shorted out.Love this unit and how it works and I can’t say enough for the support that I received.Would not hesitate to buy from this company again.

Does not live up to its claims, emailed support for 3 weeks and now it doesn't work at all!
Before you assume I am not tech savvy, I've been in the IT field since 2000. I manage 31 remote locations, including the Corp office. We also use iPhones/iPads as our standard mobile device. I usually avoid hardware at this level, so I researched and Carpuride was given great reviews here and in forums. Sadly, it does NOT live up to these claims, and I worked with the day after I set it up nearly 3 weeks of back-and-forth emails. Each time they want a video of what your issue is. One thing to note, on the boot up screen, I now know why they have their support email address as the first thing you see.Bench tested this and CarPlay works when using its built-in speakers. AirPlay does not work at all.I installed in my 2015 Ram 1500 w/Uconnect and well, it’s been a disaster ever since.CarPlay worked, however, after 5 minutes it would drop connection. I used the AUX cord for a bit, then decided to open a support ticket. This should work!! I do not want to use the FM transmitter; those have low quality sound and only work in certain areas before you need to pick another station.AirPlay is NOT really AirPlay, it’s ScreenMirror. All you’ll get is YouTube and whatever your web browserswill play via AUX cord only.I've been emailing their support; I provided them with all the info and videos they. Keep in mind they are not even close to USA time zones, which is fine, but also a PITA.Support sent me updated firmware to install, and CarPlay would stay connected, but now messages do not work. When I select a new message, it sits there, nothing happens, no audio, nothing… then it goes to unread. If I press it again, it sits and does nothing again.Their next step was to reset everything. Remove the Carpuride WIFI and BT from your phone and restart your phone. Then do a factory reset (pin hole in the back does nothing, it’s in Settings). After the reset, I readded CarPlay BT as directed on the screen it connects but nothing happens. Now CayPlay DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.Now after working with their support, it’s a brick. I’ve wasted 3 weeks with this POS device, it’s going back as defective. I wanted this to work, it fit perfectly in the dash and for the 3-4 days it worked, it was exactly what I wanted.I would AVOID this and be cautious with Carpuride in general.**Update**Customer support sent me a 3rd replacement, this is a different model, with a much larger screen. They are pointing the finger at my power source, my 12v plug in my 2015 Ram 1500. The second replacement had a burnt plastic smell the second I bench tested it, however it did power on. I turned it off and put it in my truck, and yup, it burned up, smoke coming out and then the screen went dark. Defective out of the box. Just to be sure, I tested my 12v port. I've used both a 12v meter and a USB meter on my outlet, zero anomalies in 2 days of testing while driving back and forth to work. Also I use a Rove dashcam on the same port with out any issues either. So lets move on from it being a bad power supply issue. Customer support shipped the 3rd replacement, its shipped from China, and it took a while. Over that time I've since purchased a Carpodgo T3 unit, that was very expensive (check out my review, about the same experience with a glitchy device). The carpodgo T3 has been working fine in the same 12v port. When the 3rd carpuride arrived I bench tested it, then, did 2 days with it in the truck it. Same glitchy carplay behavior I've had in the past, but this one didn't burn up or smoke like the last replacement. My overall experience with these portable/add-on carplay devices is about what I expected. There is no true replacement over an OEM Carplay head unit. These budget devices are a one site fits all, and the fit isn't for everyone. Airplay doesn't work, you'll find yourself removing and readding your phone to the device weekly or so. Expect BT audio glitches unless you do a direct AUX cord connection, but then you'll lose any steering wheel controls that control your audio settings. My recommendation is to get a carplay certified usb cable, and direct connect it and use the Aux cord. its not going to check all the boxes it claims, nor will it be as good as an OEM replacement radio with carplay, I would not get the carpodgo T3 due to its price. I've added 2 more stars to my 1 star, one start for each replacement they sent. Otherwise its still a solid 1 star.

Great to pair with an Carplay Tbox/AI Box if you want to use your AI box as a hotspot
I bought this specifically for the WIRED carplay + Android Auto functionality to use carlinkit tbox as a hotspot while traveling and also for some development of utilities I use on the unit. Initial impression: the unit is pretty decent, but I do wish it had dual bluetooth, and also, I do wish that the resolution were higher. But, for wired carplay and wired android auto, I guess options are becoming more limited.First, let's get the cons out of the way:The USB-C port does NOT draw power from a PD port. If a USB port supports the PD protocol, this unit will NOT power up. Deducting two stars for this. You can FORCE it to draw power from a PD-aware USB-C data port by using a USB-C-male-to-USB-A-female adapter (USB-OTG), then using a USB-A-to-USB-C cable then it will run happily. It will not draw power from a PD port that is power-only. I've got to do more testing on this. It's also somewhat picky about power cables. I'm not sure if it's balking at the protocol signaling resistor, or gauge, but I tend to buy heavier gauge USB cables so it's probably balking at the power protocol signaling resistors. The unit will reboot repeatedly if the port fails to deliver at least 2A.The mount isn't a standard 16mm-17mm ball mount form factor that has become somewhat of a standard. I suppose I'll have to design a 3D printed adapter for this so I can choose a better mount.THE SCREEN RESOLUTION IS MISREPRESENTED. The specifications state the screen is 1280x600; the screen resolution is actually 1280x480, and because this is FALSE ADVERTISING I am deducting three more stars, arriving at a one-star review. This is NOT a high-definition screen. Standard def is a vertical resolution of <=480 pixels.Shame on you, Carpuride.PROS:The speakers are OK.The screen is fully laminated, so risk of breaking the screen is fairly low.Image quality is fairly decent.Carplay, Android Auto, and mirroring all work.Multiple mounting options are included.

Great CarPlay for motorcycle
Fantastic device for CarPlay on the bike. You might have to get creative to mount it to your bike, depending on your handlebars. Easy Bluetooth connection to your phone. Looks great and holds to the elements well. The cameras look and function well. Good quality and brightness. The screen can be hard to see depending on your sunglasses and how they are polarized.

Helped me enjoy my older car again!
While I sometimes have connection issues between my iPhone and the device, this thing has allowed me to hang onto my older car for much longer than I planned. Would for sure buy again and would also consider an upgraded model with bigger/clearer/brighter screen. Great value!

Works great. But you need to glue it...
Had this 4 months and it's worked great. Had to dial the brightness way down from the default setting. The screen resolution isn't going to win any awards, but it's fine and looks as good as most factory fit ones. The unit is quite responsive to touch, and has reasonably good performance.Sound via aux works well and sounds decently good. The sticky pads don't hold up to heat. They cane undone on a 22 degree day after an hour in the sun. However a few dabs of silicone glue has worked well. The flexible base works well to mould to the contours of the dash - I'm glad it had this, as flat versions would have been a bit harder to mount and look a bit more after market.

Disable the internal speaker for best results
CarPlay arrived in good shape, came with everything needed to install it and have had no problems with anything so far.My only gripe is a simple one with a simple fix: there is an internal speaker on the inside that will always still play whatever you’re listening to when lowering the car volume. There ARE on screen volume controls, but sadly that also affects the sound coming through the car speakers. Sounds like a huge design oversight right?Well, thankfully I got around this by taking a guitar pick to carefully disassemble the unit, which allowed access to the speaker wires. Once in you can simply pull the connector plug and voila! No soldering or tracing, pulling the connector removes the speaker from the circuit entirely without affecting the AUX output, so now you won’t have any external sound coming from the Carpuride unit while connected to AUX in your car!Other than this ONE small issue, which to be fair is a personal one, this thing is great.

Quality product
I purchased this after watching a few reviews on YouTube and they all raved about it. The unit seems really well built, including cables and cameras. All the mounting hardware is quality, mostly alloy not plastic. I used a ball stem mount I already had installed on my bike, with the carpuride hardware, as I have 2 piece bars. It's solid and doesn't move or vibrate too much. The fitting is pretty easy. If I have one issue, it's the cables are really long and you have to roll them up and find somewhere to stow them. Cables extensions that can be removed to shorten them would be great.Watch the positive power cable, it has 2 wires. One with a brass fitting, the other is a plain wire that gets clamped to the battery terminal. I broke that wire and didn't know. Unit wouldn't power up. When I realised and fixed it, powered up straight away.Screen is very clear and touch response is good even with gloves.Easy to navigate and set up. I'm running Android Auto.I had an issue with the cameras and contacted the support email. Got a response very quickly and they helped me though a fix.Have to say, some of the best customer support I've ever had.Listening to music is easy and navigation coming through my headset is very clear and helpful. I chose to use Google maps. The cameras are great. Using the rear as a reversing camera is super helpful as I often back into carparks.Their seems to be an issue with the "hey google" not responding, but from my little research, it's probably an android issue, not the units fault. The next option for Carpuride would be to make a compatible helmet speaker and mic system for flawless integration.
