A must for Extraordinary Communion Ministers.
For Catholics who are Extraordinary Ministers to the sick. The process of giving communion to the sick can be complex (for one patient) or simple (for many patients) It's a good book and not difficult to perform the ceremony of giving The Lord's Body and Blood.

The Rite and Various Readings for Use in Ordinary Circumstances with the Sick
On short notice, we found out that our newly-trained Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist were ready to minister to the sick and homebound adults of the parish, but were lacking the favorite book containing the formula and prayers that are called to be used. This pocket-sized booklet provides the Rite and various Readings for use in ordinary circumstances when visiting people in their homes. It also contains an abbreviated Rite to be used in hospitals or other institutions where people visit and minister to large numbers of sick and/or shut-ins. Through Amazon and Prime shipping, these were in the people's hands before their first visits. There are other and more extensive versions of this, namely Communion of the Sick: Approved Rites for Use in the United States of America , a vinyl cover version of the Pastoral Care of the Sick , and the complete hardcover edition of the Pastoral Care of the Sick . The last two editions also contain the Rites of Anointing and Viaticum. NOTE: This is a revised edition according to The Roman Missal, Third Edition.

Being a new extraordinary minister, this was very helpful in spelling out the requirements for distributing communion to the homebound. Nicely made and easily carried.
