JIN knives customer service is top notch!! Fun knife and great EDC size when done.
I did have a missing button lock from my initial review and JIN knives made things right and sent me a new Rhino kit overnight. I'm now updating the review mostly based on their customer service and the great way Emma handled things for JIN knives. The knife was super easy to assemble and the end product is a very usable and solid pocket knife for daily carry. The button lock is crisp and has zero lock stick and doesn't have any mushiness with the action. Very snappy and crisp engagement with no blade play or lock rock. My blade was a tick off center, but not a big deal, I might be able to reassemble again later, once it's fully broken in. All the small T6 screws come with a dab of threadlocker on them and do not work loose once assembled, but the main T8 pivot screw comes without any threadlocker and it is recommended. Everything is included in this fun kit except threadlocker. There's only a tiny dab of oil, but I ended up using KPL andy own wiha tools for final tightening, but the included tools work fine and were used for initial assembly. Great knife kit and will likely look at more of their other offerings with my excellent customer service response for my first negative review based on missing parts. Try it, It's a real knife, not a gimmicky toy!

Smooth little knife
This is one of the coolest little fidget knives I’ve ever owned. I highly recommend for someone looking for a coin pocket sized EDC knife. I do want to say that this is a very good knife kit and it’s very simple to put together. It came razor sharp so keep the blade cover on until you get done building the knife. The locking mechanism on this is a button lock so it’s for surely not a tactical knife or a heavy use knife that’s my only downside. The other plus side about this knife is that it’s very concealable and super ergonomic in the pocket so you won’t have to worry about it feeling bulky or chunky because this knife is surprisingly light. It’s a very nice a slick looking knife that’s more of a EDC show piece than anything.

Fun to assemble and good quality.
I bought this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Assembly: Assembly was easy with the supplied instructions and tools. They do include several different strengths of springs for the button lock. I installed the light spring but ended up preferring the stronger spring. I have disassembled the knife a couple of times since, and the parts are not showing any wear. The knife has a lot going for it for its price. It boasts a solidly locking button lock with decent closed detent, inset liners, deep carry pocket clip, and your choice of opening hole, thumb stud, or front flipper. The blade is short but stout. It is thin behind the edge and slices with ease. With the thumb studs set all the way back, you can use all of the edge. The harpoon hump of the spine of the blade offers a good place for your thumb to rest when bearing down. 9Cr18Mov is a decent budget steel. Very stainless, sharpens easily, but lacks in edge retention. A strop every few days after normal use will keep it sharp. In heavy use, you will need to sharpen the blade regularly. The handles are natural g10 with medium texture on top. With the inset liners bolstering the pillar standoffs, there is no flex when squeezed. The action is smooth and snappy. The hole was not easy for me to use, but the thick thumb studs are perfect. The jumping on the blade grabs the thumb for using the front flipper. The knife will not open unless violently shaken repeatedly. In the pocket only the very tip of the scales peek above the pocket. Overall, an excellent knife kit that features a good button lock mechanism for $30.

Awesome little knife
I absolutely love this little knife. Putting it together was simple and easy and I got to set the tolerances right where I wanted them to be. It was a great little project and now is 1 of my top five fidget knives. It was good enough that I ordered another variation for myself and another for my daughter who also collects.

Awesome knife kit
This is an awesome little knife kit. The instructions where easy to follow and the parts fit together very nice. The blade is very sharp and keeps a edge very well. The handle is very comfortable and the bearings are very smooth making it a good fidget toy as well. One thing I would suggest is a little lock tight on the screw that goes threw the blade. After sometime it will loosen and you get a little blade play but other than that it is a perfect little knife.

Great knife and value
This is my 2nd knife kit from this company and i think i may be getting addicted to them (thats not a bad thing). Went together perfectly and easier than i thought (i was overthinking it). These kits are well worth the money and this particular model will see alot of pocket time. I wasnt aware that it has 3 deployment options, it could be a front flipper, thumbstud or button lock. I decided not to attach the thumbstud for a cleaner look and honestly i wouldnt use it anyway being a button lock. Cant wait to try out some other models. Update: bought another because i like it so much but i was thinking about swapping the hardware and blacking out the black scale version...to be continued......

Fun and sharp
Great experience if you're the type that likes putting things together. Even better, EVERYTHING you need is included. The seller actually reached out to let me know that if anything is missing, they will do whatever to make it right. Even if you're the one that lost it. I'm probably going to get one of their other designs too. As far as after it's put together? Good knife. Decent steel, and comes so sharp. That being said, keep the plastic sheath thing on the blade until you're totally done putting it together. The handle looked way too small to get an actual grip, but its a lot better than you might think. I have loads of knives and even a decked out benchmade, but I still take this one to work sometimes. It's also great to fidget with. And several ways to open it.

5th pocket, fidget knife
This is a smaller, 5th pocket knife. It has a small but comfortable grip, especially while using the finger choil. You can get a solid five finger grip. There’s Multiple forms of deployment, front flipper, blade hole or thumb studs. The button lock and springs work well for a plunge lock. All around it’s a solid, very useful smaller knife that fills the hand when using it. Blade steel is 9Cr18Mov. Extra springs were included. It’s fun building this knife then putting it to use. I’m enjoying this knife very much.
