Speed Demon
This boat works great. It's almost too fast and turns on a dime at higher speeds. Not so much at lower speeds. The speed control is a little too sensitive for my taste, but maybe I just have to get used to it. I really like the way the battery and electronics are sealed inside the hull. There are two covers over that area, with most of the sealing done by the inner cover that has a rubber gasket around it. Both covers use quarter turn fasteners to hold them in place during high speed maneuvers. The reverse throttle is way slower than the forward one, which is to be expected. However, it would be nice if it had a burst mode to get the boat out of some weeds. But these are nits. Overall I give this boat 5 stars.

Fast and Fun
Things have thawed out where I live so I could finally get this boat on the water. It was blast driving this thing. My only experience with RC boats is with the two small RC jetboats I own, one brushed and one 2S brushless. I thought those were fun but this one is on another level speed wise. I used the included battery plus another battery that I already had that has a higher C rating. The boat seemed to have a little more power with the better battery. I've watched a lot of RC boat videos on Youtube and noticed a lot of them turn much tighter in one direction. This one does that too. It turns much sharper left than it does right. Sitting still on the water the boat lists to the left a little due to the battery. I didn't want to test the range but I went pretty far away from myself and always had full control. The one button self righting feature works as it should. Opening the covers after running, the boat had a very small amount of water on the inside, maybe a teaspoon.I do have a few minor complaints. First is there is no battery strap included. I have plenty of extras on hand because I build fpv drones but you'll want to either pick one up or use something like duel lock or even velcro. The trim tabs at the back of the boat are non adjustable. They are also only plastic. I would have like to have seen these be metal. Lastly, the specs for the electronics are nowhere to be found other than the motor is 2216 KV. I would've liked to know what size is the motor and how many amps is the esc. If I knew these specs I would have maybe tested it on 4S and reported how it goes but because I have no idea, I didn't want to risk it.Overall, I can recommend this boat. It's fast, easy to drive and best of all, fun.EDIT-I read a review where the person said they ran their boat in the ocean and it stopped working. Salt water will destroy your electronics. This boat is for fresh water only.

Bad Quality
Boat quit working after 2 runs! And it was right after the delivery window closed... imagine that!UPDATE: I initially only gave it one star, but soon after my review, they sent me a brand new boat. I've never seen a company do that... Incredible customer service!

More Than Just a Boat
I have started running this through its paces to get it ready for summer. It is definitely a cool boat, sort of in the prosumer space (brushless motor & large battery). It is water-cooled. The battery is nice and large, so many RCs come with a small battery. I like that there are two locking compartments to keep the water from getting into the engine area. I love the rubber cap on the nose of the boat since this is the first thing to get damaged (at least when I am the captain of the boat). It comes with a great stand, which is absolutely necessary if you want to put it on a shelf. The graphics are very well done. I look forward to hitting the lakes this summer with this beast of a boat.

Good, but not perfect.
This is a really fun boat. It is super fast. The battery that comes with it lasts about 20 minutes. I like that you can change the speed from fast to slow, so I was able to turn it down and let my kid play with it without worrying about him crashing into things.I do have a couple of complaints. For whatever reason, it makes very tight turns in one direction, and very large turns in the other direction. If you are using this in a small (or even not so small) lake/pond/pool, it makes it hard to have to basically only turn in one direction because the other direction turns way too wide. Rough estimate is it turns on a 3-5' radius in one direction and like a 15-20' radius in the other. This can get pretty annoying, and we ran aground a few times in the pond we were using it in. I tried to adjust the trim to fix it, but it only helped so much and caused the boat to not go straight if I adjusted it too much. Secondly, there is not instant power to the motor when you hit "go". There is a minor, maybe second or so, delay. It isn't too annoying, and you start to get used to it, but still, I am used to hitting go and it going without delay. We have another boat similar to this that is smaller and a bit slower, and I would say that it functions better than this one, but the speed of this one is much faster. This one currently sells for $160, I think my other was closer to $70. I would definitely say this one is better than my other solely based on speed, but I have a hard time thinking it is worth twice as much. I like it and I would probably recommend it, but it does have a few annoying quirks.

Great little boat with good power!
Checking a lot of fun. The brushless motor creates a lot of torque and power so it shoots out of the hole pretty quickly. The turning is good for one side but not as sharp on the other which means we generally go in one direction around the pool so we don’t keep from hitting the wall. Looking forward to taking it to the lake.

So much fun! And fast!
This is a very fast boat and it is tons of fun. The throttle is pretty sensitive but I am used to that with my other RC vehicles. It turns on a dime and navigates our little pond amazingly. I like how all of the electronics are contained within the boat - it's fairly easy to charge/maintain etc..If you have had the cheaper boats that seem to get swallowed in bigger bodies of water (than a bath), this one will change your mind. Tons of fun and worth the price!
