The iron heats up fast and works well.
I've been pleased with this purchase. Please note that it does not have a thermostat control so you cannot vary the temperature of the iron.

I am very pleased with this soldering iron
I am very pleased with this soldering iron. I had been looking for one for months & could not find one. I use it for long periods of time. Other soldering irons have smaller handles & on extended use, heat tends to radiate up the handle. This one has a great size handle that is welll insulated. It does not overheat in any way.

DO NOT BUY. Might as well throw $ on street
Made poorly, shorts out, read many experienced same issue. Iron begins to heat n just dies out. My iron didn't solder a single project, shorts before it can even melt. Save ur $ n buy a Waler stained glass iron n reostat, its the same price range. Emailed about this issue NEVER got a response- then found this issue is VERY common with this product. I'd give Zero stars if I could

Cord is getting in my way!
The iron works fine, I am happy with the chisel tip and the temperature control. The cord was wound so tight that I couldn't get it to relax. The cord is much heavier than the iron so it coils up and pulls the iron off the stand. The stand is a tiny metal plate which is useless with the coiled-up cord pulling the iron all over the table. This is of course annoying but fixable: buy a real, cast iron, heavy stand; hang your iron for some time to relax the cord. The black insulating sleeve on the iron's handle is very loose and slides back during use, which is also fixable with some electric tape. So if you don't mind some post-production adjustments - it is an okay product. And heavy cord is great for safety!
