MXL023 VU Qube Auto II, Grey

So easy to use as it automatically finds the satellite and you don't have to spend time outside moving the dish around till it finds a signal.

Just what I expected

It is very difficult to get the controller to change over from one satellite to another, as they have changed the box (for unknown reason) but instead of 4 buttons depending on which satellite you want, now you have one button you have to press numerous times and it just does not work. I contacted Maxview and asked if I could get the older box with 4 buttons but they said they had stopped making them and did not have one. So I sent it back. Also I did loose £10.00 as seller did not give me full refund, even though it was faulty. In fact the older Maxview Qube auto was better as it had a remote control you could use from inside the house, but it did work and get other satellites.

I had intended to use it to watch TV when touring in my caravan which should not have been a problem judging by the area maps in the booklet. I know that weather affects quality of reception but on a clear almost windstill day as today, here in Ljungbyhed the only satelite I could connect with gave me German channels,(Astra1). The quality of signal was excellent but I had expected to receive some English language channels. The only signal colour that connected was blue, the green just flashed searching but did not connect with a satelite. I am very disapointed with this product which for me does not do what it says it will do ie. connect with (Astra2 North Beam Channels). I await your comments and suggestions. Regards Douglas Blenkinsop PS This is the only time I have felt disapointed with goods from Amazon and this was not a cheap buy.
