Two Deco BE25 units as wired backhaul. Stable and fast wifi mesh.
This is my first Deco Mesh network setup I'm using (Coming from a Tp-link Archer AX50 Wifi 6 Router that I've happily used for 6 years) These two units work like a Mesh Network should. I bought two Deco BE25 units on a Amazon deal. Using one Deco BE25 as a router plugged into the WebAfrica/Openserve ONT Fibre, and the other unit is plugged in with network cable on a unmanaged gigabit switch (will upgrade later to 2.5gbe switch) as a wired backhaul satellite. I cannot comment on wireless (wifi) backhaul because I have the network cable connection obviously. I can say that after several weeks of usage that these 2 units operate very well with the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz dual bands. All my devices are still prehistoric 5 & 2.4Ghz devices, so I cannot comment on any newer Wifi 6 or 7 devices unfortunately. However the wifi signal strength of the 5Ghz seems more further reaching outside in the garden behind 2 cement/brick walls, than my old (still reliable) Wifi 6 router that I used. So I do believe these 2 units should give you stable mesh wifi coverage in a medium size 3 bedroom house, like I have. Give it a try, if you not happy, use Amazon's 30 Day return option. I'm only using a 50Mbps fibre internet but I humbly believe that these units would easily handle a 1Gbps fibre internet if you use cat6 network cable and let these BE25 units run with their 2.5Gbps Lan ports as a wired backhaul
