Replaces my bandana in my backpack, super light multi-use towel
Recently took this little towel for 4 days backpacking in the Northern Rockies and am very pleased with it. I took off the carabiner and used the mesh bag to snap around a strap on my back to save a tiny amount of weight and still allow the towel hang to dry easily. Over the trip, I used the towel for sweeping out the inside of the tent before breaking camp in the mornings, for basic bathing at night (200 feet from lake shores and creeks with a small amount of biodegradable soap, used water poured in a fresh cat hole), for shade on the back of my neck under my hat in the unrelenting sun above tree line, and also drying my feet after water crossings before replacing boots. I'm sure there are a dozen more uses it would also be up for!

Great for backpacking!
For its size, it does a great job! I didn't have high hopes when I ordered it, but was a little desperate to cut weight and volume out of my base pack for a trip we had planned this summer. I figured it would at least work for getting rid of the obvious droplets on my skin after washing up and then I would just air dry the rest of the way after getting dressed. Surprisingly, if I wrung it out often enough (which did take some time), I was able to get dry enough that I didn't even feel damp when putting my clothes on. I have waist length hair that is very thick, and it didn't do a whole lot for that, but I didn't expect it to at all when I bought it and am very happy with the buy. One bonus that I found with it is that since it gets saturated so quickly when drying off, and has a slightly rugged texture, I actually could use it to scrub up a little bit while cleaning too, and feel really clean afterward! After rinsing it out, it doubled as my towel. I also have a small microfiber towel, but that one takes a little longer to dry, is heavier when wet, and I don't feel as comfortable using it as a scrubbing washcloth since I'm not confident how clean it would rinse out afterward. For this trip, I left it home.Pros: Packs super small, lightweight, can snap to hang out outside of backpack, dries fast, inexpensive, (bonus: cool patterns)Cons: Takes some time to wring out while drying, isn't quite as absorbent as microfiber towels, texture takes some getting used toOverall, I would highly recommend this for ultralight backpackers as a washcloth/towel duo if you don't mind letting your hair mostly air dry! I love it and it's all I will bring with me on backpacking trips in the future.

Great tiny travel towel
So glad I bought this. We travelled to Belize in July where it's very humid and this towel is was just what I needed. I rinsed it in the ocean and cooled myself, also poured water from bottles on it to do the same. Works great dry too for dabbing sweaty faces. East wash and quick dry. The caribiner is junk and broke on day 2 so I'd replace it right away with a better one but still worth the purchase.

Good little towel for ultra light hiking
Very small. I knew what it was when I bought this a second time. Ultra light weight, not super absorbent. I tried it in the shower but was glad I had 2 ... much better on the pack for wiping glasses or whatever. But if you are UL backpacking, This is it. I do like that even folded into its little pouch it can still dry.5 stars is "love" and really its not something anyone would love. .

Great multi-purpose towel
Solid towel. I had one before and somehow lost it. I had to purchase another one before my trip to Costa Rica. Very happy to have it. If you need a quick lens cloth? Its gotcha covered. Clean some mist or rain off your phone or camera, no problem! So many uses and it just clips to my backpack so I have it quickly accessible whenever I need it.

If you are expecting a replacement for those nice fluffy and absorbent towels that you use on a daily basis you will horribly disappointed. On the other hand, taking it for what it is, a camp towel for backpackers, I am very impressed. Don't expect a lot of absorbancy. It is extremely light, compact and dries very quickly. Best backpacking towel I have ever used.

Reasonably absorbent, dries quick, very handy. I just clip it to my belt or a pocket, use it, let it hang for a while, then fold it back up inside the pouch when it's dry. I've even folded it up wet, and while it didn't dry itself very quickly, it didn't develop any smell, so I still consider that a win.

I lost my packtowl nano when backpacking and just had to buy another one
I lost my packtowl nano while backpacking and when into REI to buy another one, but they didn't have them. They an REI brand one that looked similar and I bought it. The REI brand towel was not have as absorbent as the packtowl; so, I ordered this PackTowl Nano and I'll a happy camper again.
