I'm surprised the heat treatment is as good as it is for a company I've not encountered before and at the price they are asking. I have fixed blades and folders in 14c28n from far more well known companies, from 2 to 4 times the price, that aren't heat treated this hard. I don't know if I got lucky on mine or they normally run these at a higher range but wow.I also don't know if this was meant to not be a completely straight edge but mine isn't. It has an almost visually imperceptible belly to most of the edge, slightly more so near the tip. It's so minute though that it performs like a perfectly straight wharncliffe.The heel of the handle might be a hotspot for aome hands and not for others. It is and isn't for mine, depending on how far choked up or back on the handle my hand is.4.75 stars. Would be 5 for a perfectly straight edge and no potential hotspot. This awesome heat treatment almost makes up for my two complaints.

I gave this blade 5 stars because of the quality and style of the blade. It has a very wide blade and it is super sharp with a nice thick stout blade. This knife made me smile when my lady handed it to me so I already know.

Everything about this knife is great except for the handle scales. They aren't thick enough to give you a full grip and the contouring leaves a lot to be desired. There are multiple hot spots creating discomfort, depending on which way you hold the knife. Maybe good for someone with very small hands.

Really high end feeling fixed blade. Great blade steel and handle. It's a truly great fixed blade I plan on buying more for gifts and the price is amazing!

The 7.5 is better then expected, the edge was not bad from factory at all, but had to up it and it took a keen edge as good 14c28n does and with my moderate use/testing edge retention seems on par too, so heat treat I good and more time wiill reveal how good. Yes the handle is awkward but not uncomfortable for me.sheath is a kydex type and is pretty good, kydex is a little on thin side for my taste but is perfectly survivable. And the weight is on par for a knife with same dimensions, it IS a chunky, small workhorse. I carry one of many tops knives often so am use to chunky fixed blades. More then worth the price and ordered a second one at 19.99 it is a steal.

This is an excellent blade. Holds a good edge. No frills, but very much worth the price.

Super sharp, great steel choice, will last a long time (if you don't use it improperly, knives ARE NOT for prying unless it is an emergency). Could use a few different additions to make it perfect, but I love this blade^_^ great value, especially on sale!
