Love this product! I use it for my son who, when tired, ramps up to out of control instead of slowing down. This doesn't put him to sleep, but rather just helps reign him in to focus. If we don't use it, he lays in bed tossing, turning and walking his feet up the walls and talking constantly. With this, when I tell him it's time to lay down and rest, he can do it and have a more normal conversation. Makes bedtime much more tolerable.

Heard about this from a friend who knows I’m an anxious person who has trouble falling asleep. I take one capsule of this with one capsule of 5-HTP (helps with balancing serotonin) and one packet of Calm magnesium powder in 8 oz of water. This is my night night cocktail and I sleep hard. I’ve alwasy had trouble sleeping and this is the only thing that has worked for me. I wake up feeling more energized than I’ve ever felt in my life like, I actually have a desire to get out of bed and be alive. Overall, I’ve felt less anxious during the day. This stuff is great! I would like to mention that I also take pharma GABA in the morning which has similar benefits but doesnt induce sleep. It helps you focus calmly without taking something that makes you feel jittery like caffeine.

The product was recommended by a clinician (MD-PhD). He recommended this brand because of its batch to batch consistency. This means it is a quality product. This medicine works, but note that it takes approximately about 1 or more months to observe results, and varies for each individual. There are scientific studies about the active drug, not sure if about this particular brand***. Do your research. Do not take it if recommended unsafe by your primary care or mental health specialist.Highly recommended for those recommended to take it.

I ordered the chewables in the past, and those worked great for anxiety. This time I ordered capsules, but after reading reviews saying the capsules don't work as well as the chewables, I just open a capsule and dump the powder in a glass of water. I take it before bed and I sleep more soundly.

There are several brands of L-Theanine around and I particularly like this one. I can't objectively say it is superior, but subjectively it seems to have more impact than some of the others. However, everyone's systems are different so there may be other brands that work best for you. Often it's a matter of finding the one that works the best for you.

With all the rave reviews I was excited about trying this product. It sounded so good and it seemed that everyone did not have an issue with it for the most part. Well let me say my experience was a little bit different. When I think of relaxed I still want to feel like I'm in control. Relax sounded good, losing control doesn't. What I mean is I only took a little bit of this which I advise you to do too if you are new to this product, and in a short amount of time could feel it's affect. I had this feeling of being what some people would call as high! Not something I wanted to feel. I had a sense of a loss of control because it's not something that you can just come out of. You have to wait hours before you can feel like yourself again. I personally did not like that feeling. I also found that the feeling gave me anxiety rather than taking it away. So my advice to anyone trying this product is to do what I did carefully. Don't take a whole bunch of even a whole capsule just take a little bit of the capsule in a drink, I put it in coffee as I read a lot of people did. The coffee didn't have an effect on me as I've had it plenty of times before so that did not give me anxiety! I did have a slight relaxed feeling to my body but my head felt really strange. Since we all react differently to whatever we consume as far as supplements go and prescriptions, it's really important to take it extremely slow in rather test yourself before taking a whole capsule. You may be one of the lucky ones and don't have an issue as I did. I think I have a sensitivity to some products. I kind of learn as I go, but I'm always careful when trying something new. I was really hoping I could give this product five stars! I watched a few videos on YouTube prior to buying this product. I know that it is in green tea but you would have to drink about eight cups of green tea to get the effect of one capsule. I also learned that capsules are not the same as drinking the tea. I'm not sure if they're totally synthetic or not, I think there's a portion that is taken to create the capsule. I also heard one of the videos say that there is an a l-theanine and a D-Theanine, in the capsule may have a small portion of d-theanine. I have not researched the d-theanine.
