Relief at last
My area has been getting hit with mail theft, namely the unaffordable neighborhoods. We don't live in one, but did live near one a few months ago before buying our house. All over NextDoor are people talking about people stealing their mail or opening mailboxes and seeing what's inside. When we bought our home, the mailbox that was present was on a weird wooden setup and would fall over if you so much as looked at it wrong. Not even remotely secure. So we bought this. Got a metal pole and some concrete, dug a hole, and set it all up. Then we tested it to see if we could fit our arm in the slot, if we could pry it off, etc. It's very well secured! The only problem is that one of the four post carriers that come through the neighborhood left a note telling us to move it outside the fence. It's a chain fence, this mailbox is two steps from the gate, and four feet from where the horrible previous setup was. This mail carrier left a note telling us to move it. I spoke to USPS about where to put this, and they said they don't care so long as it's clearly visible. We were sorely tempted to set this up near the front door, which is a whole ten feet from the gate entry. We even considered getting one of those mailboxes that mounts onto the wall. I can only imagine the whining if we'd gone that route. The reason we couldn't put it on the other side of the fence? It's all concrete! We couldn't take a post digger to it due to this, and hiring someone to put a hole in that would've cost a fortune! We spoke to the post office regarding the key to put packages in or pick up outgoing mail. Because there are no mail lockers on this particular route, the carriers don't have keys on them. For this reason, they won't accept the key. We've had to tape a note inside the drop off slot stating that if the flag is up, to come to our door so we can hand them the outgoing mail. Tedious, but it's our best option aside from finding the nearest blue box drop off point.

Great mailbox!
I really like this mailbox. The one we had when we moved in was old and needed to go. This is a perfect box that's modern looking and keeps your mail secure. Installation was pretty easy. My boyfriend and I got the job done in a weekend- don't mount the box until the cement dries. I don't have any issues with leaking. All of my mail has stayed dry. I will say that outgoing mail is an issue because the post office doesn't have the key, but we don't mail a lot of stuff anyways, so I just drop off out going mail at a nearby drop box. If you're looking for a modern mailbox that was keep your mail secure, you should give this a try.

The secure mailbox the size of a garage
A row of uprooted, vandalized twenty or so mailboxes was my first view of my mailbox landing spot. I chose this mammoth letter holder because better to go big and beefy than wussy and wimpy and beefy is what I got. They could run this thing over and I think the thieves car would get the worst of it. Want your mail secure? Get this with the steel pole and set it over a 4x4 pressure treated wood post deeper in the ground, quick-set concrete, done.

East to install
I liked that it was super sturdy and nice looking. It comes with 3 keys and it has 4 pointy screws inside that you can use to put it in a wooden post instead of the the metal one. Perfect for curb/ street side, it also has directions inside following USPS measurements. It’s just as described it’s very nice and I must say bigger then I imagined. Opens through front only.

Super high quality and styling
Used with stainless black self-adhesive 3” numbers from Amazon. Wish Mail Boss had these as an accessory. Significantly more time finding the right numbers than this box.The box is super high quality and well-made. Used the post from same manufacturer. Also super heavy duty. A cinch to install once the post was installed and leveled. Just four bolts that came with the post. It’s a very nice shade of off-white.We tried saving a few $ with an Amazon return but the shipping box was so damaged and missing a lot of foam that the mailbox arrived damaged so returned it and bought new which was near perfect.Only minor issue is that the bottom edge of the mail drawer was a little rough. Like not quite sanded enough.Looks beautiful. Contemporary, super sturdy and operates very well - both the locking door and mail drop drawer. Now just hoping it survives the snowplows. I’ll probably get a long reflective pole and flag to mark it for the winter.

Seems to be good quality.
Replaced old mailbox. Definitely much more secure. Came with everything promised. Everything in good condition. Some edges on the outside shell were a little sharp, but not enough to cause injury. Made handling the heavy box before installation a little uncomfortable. Probably should have been deburred before powder coating was applied. Absolutely no problem after installed and done handling it loose. Otherwise, everything worked as expected. Lots of space for mail inside, very secure. No one could remove mail without a key and without a great deal of effort and destroying the box, which is heavy gage steel. Would recommend and would buy again.

"Postmaster approved" doesn't translate to, "any mailman can use this."
Unfortunately, our mailmen can't seem to figure out how to use this. They stuff the mail into the top portion in such a way that it doesn't fall to the bottom, rendering the locking portion completely useless. And it's a different mailman every day, so no advantage to educating any one individual on its use. So the mailbox is great. The Postal Service cannot seem to figure out how to use it properly.

Elegant and Secure!
Easily locking mailbox with an outgoing mail option. It looks sleek, which is perfect for our neighborhood. It’s much heavier than I thought it would be, but easy enough to install. Great as a mail thief deterrent.

I think our mailman likes this box as much as we do. :)
Well made, good lock, very straight-forward to install. Particularly appreciated for my mailbox location which is near the street and hidden from the house. I'm pretty sure that I've had my mail pilfered in the past, and I'm happy to be able to thwart thieves with this secure mailbox. Today was its first day "on the job" and when I went out to collect my mail, the little flag was raised (by the mailman), so I knew that he'd been there and there was something to pick up. Got this at a great price from Warehouse Deals, so I couldn't be happier. :)

Sturdy, functional and striking appearance.
Ordered this as a birthday present for boyfriend after hearing about recent mail thefts in our rural area. Arrived on time and when I went to pick it up at post office could not believe how heavy the box was. Opened it and was totally awestruck by the look and quality of mailbox. Installation was easy and mailbox looks amazing mounted on its post. Would highly recommend this product.

Damaged beyond repair
The media could not be loaded. Very nice mailbox except it showed up completely damaged. The key won’t work and all of the inside welds are broken. Very unfortunate as this is the second box I have ordered. The first one was perfect, this one - terrible experience.

Easy to install.
It was delivered ontime and was easy to install. We were concerned that our mail carrier wouldn't be able to deliver small packages but the first time he managed to get quite a bit in the mailbox, even newspaper. It came with 3 keys but we could use 2 more for family members. It's reassuring to have the lock so we don't have to watch when the mail is delivered and empty the box before its pilfered.
