I bought this to clean my 400+ DVD/Blu ray collection. This was the second cleaner I purchased (after I ran out of my Walmart Eye Dept brand that they don't sell anymore). The first one, LENSE CLEANER by OPTIX, I couldn't stand the horrible scent. It was like something rotten. It also didn't clean very well. I returned that cleaner and ordered this. In the meantime, while I waited for this to be delivered, I found another cleaner that was much cheaper and did a great job. It was PURITY LENSE CLEANER.I don't abuse the return policy here on Amazon, so I am keeping this, because it wasn't anyone's fault but mine. But the PURITY product I bought is great. It doesn't specify DVDs/Blu Rays like this product, but it worked as well and was less than half the price.There are so many items out there for cleaning discs, but most are just clarified water and unknown ingredients. The PURITY brand nor this product say what's in it on the bottle, :( but neither one have ammonia. I think it PURITY does have a bit of alcohol but not a lot. Both have a cleaning agent of some type. Also, neither product takes away scratches. They are just cleaners, and a clean disc makes all the difference.It's amazing how many people sell their DVD/Blu ray collection with filthy discs. Anyway, this NUVIEX product is specifically for CDs and DVDs, they say it's ok for Blu rays, also. The PURITY brand is for glasses and screens, but I have done my entire new lot of over 200 DVD/Blu ray discs with LENSE CLEANER and have not had a single problem.No matter which cleaner you use, make sure that you use a CLEAN microfiber cloth. Change it frequently. Wash the cloths with dish soap or liquid hand soap in warm water. Make sure you rinse the cloths out really well. If you wash in the machine, don't use bleach or fabric softener (or soap with fabric softener), and don't use dryer sheets if you dry in the dryer. I just blot dry with a towel and let air dry.I usually change the cloth after about 15 discs or so, depending on how dirty they are. Some of the movies and TV series I recently purchased were so dirty that it took 2 or 3 cleanings before they were streak-free. But most only took one or two spritzes and a wipe, from center to edge, not circular, and they were clean and streak-free with no fingerprints.The cloths that come with this product are good. They are thick a wash well. AND they clean well. One of these cleaners came with deep purple cloths. When I washed those, they bled a bit but when I used on the discs, they left no residue. I also wash the cloths before first use. It's amazing how dirty some factories are, and we don't know which ones. SO, I always wash them before first use, so I don't get any new scratches.Remember, CLEANERS are NOT scratch fixers. They just clean out the dust and fingerprints that can affect how well a disc plays. I don't have any discs that are scratched bad enough that they won't play so I don't have any recommendations for you on that.One more comment: Both of these worked well on my glasses.

Works great at gently cleaning discs, removing residual ooze left on the disc in the manufacturing process. No scratches caused by cloth. Removes fingerprints too.

Never did we ever expect to receive this in such beautiful gift quality packaging, both inside and out. It was packed like a very good quality perfume. So it made it very easy to wrap for a gift and proud to give. The sprayer works very well, and the cleaning cloth is very nice!

Ran out of CD cleaner a few days before and just happened to see this large bottle on Amazon. Don't need it often but would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it LOL.It was delivered quickly and at a good price.Thanks P.S large enough it should last awhile.
