Every duel carries real danger, and the brutality feels grounded rather than exaggerated. Inoue’s storytelling shines here — he doesn’t rush moments. He lets tension build slowly, making each clash feel earned. Visually, this volume is stunning. The VIZBIG format enhances every brushstroke and detail. The contrast between quiet countryside scenes and explosive combat panels is masterfully executed. What makes Volume 2 powerful is that it shows the cost of strength. Musashi wins battles, but internally, something is shifting. You can sense the beginning of transformation — not yet wisdom, but the first step toward it.
