Wonderful book
As a huge fan of Islay whiskies, especially Ardbeg and Laphroaig, I really enjoy digging deep into their histories and the history of Islay itself. Legend of Laphroaig is a really interesting walk through the history of this distillery, its people, and its bottlings. From an editorial standpoint, the content could have used a really good copyeditor, but that detracts only slightly from my enjoyment of this book. The photos, layout, artwork, cover, and heft all speak to the qualities any great coffee-table book should have. I've spent many hours poring over this book and I've lent it to two of my Islay-fan friends, who have shared my feelings on it. The Ardbeg book is better in many respects, but like each distillery, each book has unique and enjoyable qualities. Any true Islay or Islay whisky fan would be pleased to have this book on his or her coffee table or bookshelf.
