Heavy duty, sounds great
I've been using this in our church band for a few months now. Besides getting use to playing both a tamb pedal along with my hi-hat, I really love this thing. Great sounding tambourine that can also be used as a normal hand-held one. As everything from DW, the quality is superb.

Extremely difficult to control.
The quality of this product is good, but this tambourine is extremely difficult to play and largely impractical for most musical settings. At least I can use the pedal for other things if I need to.

Saw it on TV during a performance, bought it, and love it. Good quality and a professional piece. I use it with my solo act to accent songs here and there. The tambourine has a clean, quality sound that just works. Highly recommend this durable instrument to anyone including drummers.

Not a fan. Mechanism is different than I thought.
So, first of all, I take full responsibility for not being more careful in finding out exactly what I was getting into. I looked at the picture and quickly decided this was what I needed. It’s close, but not exactly what I wanted.The mechanism this rig uses is not what I thought it was. I thought the tambourine was held stationary and a beater struck it. Not the case with this item. The tambourine is actually rotated with the footboard striking a stationary beater. This is problematic for me because it causes the tambourine to jingle uncontrollably on the rebound. If you just want one hit on 2 and 4, good luck. This rig will allow you play straight 16ths if that’s what you want, by stomping out 8ths with a rebound note.The quality is first rate however. Solid DW pedal, heavy and well made. This rig is just not what I’m looking for.As it is, I’m going to have to Frankenstein this rig to get it to do what I want. Not looking forward to that, but hey, it was my fault for not checking the description and comments. Hopefully this will help someone else that may be looking for the same thing I was.

Great addition to my setup
Great addition to my solo acoustic setup. Had some slap back when it came, but that was an easy fix by adjusting the spring tension on the side (with provided key). It’s a bit loud with the double row, so I wrapped majority of it with a bandana that I had laying around. Would be nice to see this with a single row tambourine option.

Quality product that will easily call Santa
Great product by DW again. Not sure about the other reviews of junk, flimsy and such. I get it, if your a power hitter and you've busted a bassdrum skin before this may not be for you. However, I didn't do 5* because the tamborine sound is not for me. Feels like Santa is gona pull up on his sleigh when played. lol. I personally find it too much jingle and really loud. Although, yes it is of quality and sounds great. But I modified my other tamborines and just swapped the adapter from this kit onto them for my preferred set-up/sound. I've included a video of the tamborines for sound reference. If it helps you. 😉
