I normally just get the standard smooth .80 string for my weed whip, but decided to give this stuff a try. I have a couple of acres with a lot of trees, fencing and a drainage ditch I have to clear a couple of times a month, so I do my share of whipping of weeds.My expectations were not that high on whether or not this would be more durable than the normal string, but it is. I was surprised at how well it held up. I did my entire run only dispensing more string a couple of times when normally I do that a dozen times at least. It definitely held up better when working the fence line. The old string would often break leaving a chunk laying on the lawn. This stuff wears more on the ends and I did not see any chunks break off completely.While it is the same diameter, due to the twisting style it takes up more room on the spool. I would say I used about 25% less. But that is fine as it lasts 80% longer. Plus it does not get wedged tight on the spool like the smooth stuff so it plays out much easier when needed.I can definitely say this is much tougher and will last longer than the normal replacement string. It will be my go to string from now on and I highly recommend it as well.

Works great in my battery powered kobalt trimmer. Bought this after seeing test by project farm on YouTube. I went from using cheap wal mart round style line to this and there is a difference. It’s not a huge difference, but it’s there.It cuts grass better with a little less effort, but honestly doesn’t seem to last any longer than the cheap stuff I used to buy. I’m not disappointed, I just think i overhyped it a bit. I like that’s it’s made in the US as well. I’ll keep using it, but depending on what you used before, you may not be blown away at the gains.Oh and I mow/trim lawns all summer as extra money. So I’ve put it through all kinds of paces.

Quality of item is great. Easy to use. Great price for it too

Trimmer states .08 line but the trimmer was not a spool thread. You pushed a button and feed a single piece of line in, 16". This split line would not fit through the hole on this trimmer - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HJ4RKD2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1(which I wouldn't recommend as it wouldn't assemble properly).
