No more Aspirating !
This is a great cup. My husband tends to aspirate when he drinks leading to pneumonia.Since purchasing this cup I have noticed he doesn’t cough while drinking because it pours out an amount that he can’t gulp. Remember to level cup between sips. Awesome.

No leaks if you make sure the top is securely closed
Plan on bringing this over to an elderly parent on my next visit. This has no silicone gasket, but as long as you make sure the top is pressed down securely it will not leak. There are two dispenser disks to limit the water flow with each tip of the cup. The blue 10 cc and a white 5cc. I think the 10cc is still too much water as I would choke on it! Will be using mainly the white 5cc. I wish the cover was also clear so I would be able to see when the water is about to come out the spout. I would need to hold the cup and have to slowly tip it until I think the water is coming out or until I see them swallow.I'm always looking for different drinking cups and find myself in the baby section of the store looking for what's new. I find that those sippy cups that you have to suck on do not work well for the elderly or ones that use a straw. The cups need to be small so it is not heavy when filled, easy to grip and best if is clear to gauge the flow of the liquid to see when it is coming out. A nice feature is that this cup has a silicone angle spout attachment to use when laying down to drink.

Good, spill-proof cup!
I have Parkinson's disease and I have been trying to get stuff ready for my family when my disease is more advanced. This cup is wonderful and is leak proof. It seems like it will help out, later down the road. I think it has a fair price on it.

Excellent cup for special needs
This cup is helpful for those who have issues with drinking and holding their cup. My daughter has CP and while she can drink through a straw, this cup is better because it controls the amount of fluid if needed. There are two options for the drinking spout....nice that one is a hard plastic and one is a soft silicone. Very important because people do have a preference and she definitely lets me know. Easy to clean. And with the two handles, she is able to grab it

Works as described
This is a large sturdy cup that holds 250 ml. You can limit the amount of fluid flowing by using the blue or white disk. The white silicon spout on the top is for drinking when leaning back. Remove the spout for drinking when sitting up. You don't sip with this cup. You place the spout in your mouth, tilt the cup up and the proper amount of liquid flows into your mouth. I found using the white disk for 5cc would probably be just about right for someone having difficulty swallowing. The liquid pools at the bottom of the mouth and you get to decide when you are ready to swallow. It's really kind of cool. I'd like to have another disk that would give less liquid - maybe 3cc that would be used for "just a sip". It is expensive so it's not something that the average person would buy without having a definite need for it. However, if someone in your house had the flu or was having a hard time getting liquids, this cup would be very helpful.
