Late but delicious
Product is tasty and delicious. Marked down one star because it took 6 days to ship. Once it shipped, took one day to deliver. But this was a gift. I tried to cancel after no shipment for four days but wasn’t allowed to, saying that the package was about to be shipped. Still took two more days to ship after that. Highly recommended just allow for extra time for shipping.

Deliciously Buttery, Authentic Baklava – Pecan Rolls in Elegant Gift Box
These Bab Sharqi Pecan Baklava Pastry Rolls offer a delightful treat, perfect for those who enjoy authentic Middle Eastern sweets. The baklava is packed in a sturdy metal tin, which not only ensures the product stays fresh but also makes for an elegant gift presentation. Each pastry roll is filled with premium pecans and encased in a delicate, flaky filo dough. They offer a rich, buttery flavour with a lovely crunch that’s moreish yet not overpowering. I found them to have a subtle sweetness that melts in your mouth, though I didn’t pick up on the advertised cinnamon or chocolate. One thing that did stand out was the slight dryness of the pastry—while I personally loved the buttery, creamy texture, my mum found it a bit powdery. However, that didn’t detract from the overall experience, especially when paired with tea or enjoyed during special occasions. The rolls are bite-sized, making them perfect for sharing, though they are rather rich, so you may want to enjoy them slowly. They’re on the expensive side for a small tin, which might be a downside if you're looking for an everyday treat. Despite that, the quality and authentic flavour make them a great choice for a gift or a festive indulgence. A small disappointment was the lack of an English translation on the card that came with the tin, which felt a bit out of place for a UK market. How I rate the products:5 stars: Performs perfectly, as advertised, and exceeds expectations in quality, functionality, or presentation.4 stars: Works well but may have minor flaws, slight deviations from the description, or issues with packaging. Still a good purchase.3 stars: Adequate product that works but lacks standout features or quality. Feels average in performance or design.2 stars: Subpar product with noticeable flaws, poor quality, or questionable durability. Usable but disappointing.1 star: Arrived broken, unusable, or completely fails to meet its intended purpose.

Delicious Baklava
These baklava are absolutely delicious. They come packed in a tin box which is very beautiful and would make a nice gift. The baklava is made with layers of flaky dough, with pecan filling. It also lists chocolate and cinnamon as its ingredients though they were not much noticeable. The baklava is sweet and sticky and crunchy as expected but not very sugary. Eating only one or a couple is kind of impossible as they are very tasty. However, I feel they are too expensive. There is not much as it is quite a small tin and the pieces are also small. It would be good as a gift on special occasions or as a treat.

Absolutely delicious
These Pecan Baklava Pastry Rolls are supplied in a solid metal tin that you will want to keep long after the product within has been consumed (and that won’t take long!).I found it slightly unusual that the manufacturer shrink-wrapped the bottom of the tin but then went underneath the lid to seal the contents. Wouldn’t it have been easier to seal the whole tin? Whatever the case, the contents within were supplied fresh. The baklava are supplied as little rolls. It has to be said that the texture of them slightly divided my wife and me. I absolutely love them, I think they just melt in the mouth, the pastry is so light, but my wife thought they were a little powdery. To me, the overwhelming impression is of buttery creaminess and smoothness, together with a nutty aftertaste. I note that the product page also states cinnamon (a flavour I love). I think I can smell cinnamon, but I don’t really get any taste. If it is in there is must be quite subtle. These are so bite-sized and so moreish that I am not really sure they will represent good value for money. I have a feeling they will be gone too quickly. This is not a fault of the product, however, more a reflection on me (and perhaps on the price…).

Nice, but Expensive.
These are very nicely presented in a small tin. The baklava tastes nice, but is very sweet - if you're eating alone the tin should last a few sittings.I think you would need to be a big baklava fan though, as these are expensive.

Authentic buttery delights
The baklavas seem very high quality as they smell delightfully buttery with a hint of cinnamon although I could not taste any cinnamon. These are simply delicious, they are the perfect amount of sweetness and have a lovely crunch. All of the family complimented the taste of these and my daughter has a peanut allergy so she was happy to safely indulge in these pecan baklavas. They are well presented in a tin making it a great for an Eid gift or other occasions and any receiver of this would truly enjoy them. These are very authentic treats as they are made in Saudi Arabia and the company Bab Sharqi is named after one of the ancient city gates of Damascus, Syria. They are on the expensive side but it is worth it for the quality and authenticity. The only thing I thought was strange was that the card included is only in Arabic, yet these are sold in the UK so an English translation would be much appreciated.
