An excellent pocket companion
This Loeb edition is undoubtedly the best - especially for those of us who occasionally need a crib! Beautifully produced, long-wearing, and clearly printed with unexceptionable translation side by side with the Latin - the latter obviously being the most important ingredient. The first six books of the Aeneid are a bonus following upon the Eclogues and Georgics. Truly a Vergilian feast at an affordable price.

Excellent, as ever
Excellent edition, very clear type and easy to read in Latin. Useful English translation which is faithful to the original text.

usual good book from Loeb
This is the third Loeb Classical Library book I now own. I found this one up to usual standard. Good translation offered. Just wish all the Aeneid was in one book.

Opportunity to read Latin and English translation side by sude
Previous owner had made pencil annotations to the text contrary to what supplier said.

Great addition to my LOEB collection
I really like Virgil’s Georgics and Eclogues also this goes along nicely with my other LOEB texts like De Oratore.

Third revision 1999
Some Loebs have very old English translations, but this one is fairly modern. It does at times stay a little far from the Latin to be a close crib for students, as it tries to be literary, but it is still very useful.
