I'm a beginner and thought the all in one bags were the way to go, boy was I wrong. Lots of contamination. These rice bags have been fantastic. All are doing great transfered my first batch to shoeboxes and they are taking off.

better version of UB, great to see the growth of the whole bag opposed to just the bottom. Was pretty relaxed when inoculating for research purposes on sterilization and got multiple nice flushes and no contam. Sterilizing your own grains is definitely more economical if you plan to do this hobby for a long time, but this is a great alternative if you are just getting started/occasional use.

Bought 2 batches, the first one i did a break/shake after almost 3 weeks..its been 5 days and still no signs of them bouncing back. As for the 2nd batch i havent done a break/shake and they're doing okay

Clean and ready to go, came with some handy labels which was a nice touch. Good amount of room in the bag which is a plus for me since it allows more room for shake and breaking. Perfect moisture levels for liquid culture and my culture TOOK OFF in these. 1/24 bags contammed but probably because of me not the product.

I purchased 2 boxes (6 packages each). Waited over 5 weeks and finally got mycelium in only ONE bag! I did however get terrible contamination in one bag and more contamination just starting in 3 other bags. So, so far out of 12 packages total contamination is 4 and still nothing in 7 bags with little to no hope at this point and most likely those will end up with contamination as well. I think the reason is the rice is very WET inside which lends itself to getting contaminated. Aside from Uncle Ben Tek all grain I get elsewhere is very dry. So that's over $60 spent on the rice and all the wasted money spent on spores and liquid culture I injected the bags with leaving me at a loss of about $160. Do NOT buy!

I have used this product once to fantastic results, and based on this experience can foresee using only this product in the future. It functioned quickly and thoroughly, with a 100% success rate and no adverse contamination. I recommend it highly.

I previously wrote a review that I had a problem with contamination with my bags. I even stated that it could have been something I did wrong. I was not seeking a refund yet, the company contacted me and offered to refund or replace the product as well as offering to help me troubleshoot what might have caused the contamination. This is how you are suppose to treat customers. Even though I had a bad start, they have won my loyalty with their commitment to costumer satisfaction. Above and beyond! Bravo!

These bags made growing mushrooms way easier than other spawn bags. Once I inoculated the bag, the mycelium took off fast. One thing that’s important though, don’t forget gas exchange for mycelium to grow. I just added a second hole at the top and covered it with micropore tape.
