cord is to short what can i get ?

Extension cord to run a space heater can be very dangerous thing to do. Many people own extension cords but they are small in size at about 18 gauge cord (okay for a lamp) but a heater like this needs at LEAST a 14 gauge size wire if not a 12 gauge.... depending on the length needed. Heavy duty safe to use cords are not pretty or easy to hide..so people take a chance with lamp cord extensions with a color they can hide... NOT the thing to do, check the national statistics on house fires and you will see space heaters are right up there on the list Please use larger gauge extension cord if you have to use one... play it safe.Note that even with a proper extension cord for 1500 watt heater, many wall outlets can't handle the load either
