just love old books describing stitches and materials of a bygone age if you like older things this is for you dont expect colour photos though but that makes it more exciting as you can put your own interpretation on the patterns

Very knowledgeable content. Many black and white photographs to help understand the concept. Will help both beginners and experienced people to learn many aspects of needle-craft correctly.

Um dos melhores livros técnicos sobre bordado. A escrita é ótima - mesmo sendo um livro que descreve técnicas de bordados, suas aplicações e modos de fazer, é gostoso de ler. Considerando que foi escrito na década de 30 do século passado é ainda atual, aliás muito atual.Usado em conjunto com o Dicionário de pontos de bordado da mesma autora é uma ferramenta de imenso valor. Tenho que lamentar entretanto, a pobreza do mercado editorial brasileiro, que traduz - e nada bem - obras de pouca relevância e deixa de lado o que há de melhor. O livro está em inglês.

This book is great, but I have had little time lately to embroider anything. At least I am going to have a good reference book when I get time again.
