At least mine were smooth.I've tried many strawberry candies....these are the best!!!

Yes, the center is soft and the outside of the candy is hard. Both parts are quite tasty, and together make it a delightful treat!

Gosh I'm not good at guessing that. It's a huge bag. I buy 3 at a time and store them in a 12X12 inch basket if that's any indication.
