Perfect Paper Matte Adhesive

I have been using PPA matte for more than 30 years for scrapbooking, card making (1000+ a year) and general paper crafting. I love that it not only dries clear but does not leave a telltale "shine" on the paper, like others do. I also own PPA gloss but prefer the matte for this reason. It is very affordable, doesn't dry stiff and provides a secure bond for everything I have ever used it for. It is not sticky when wet or tacky when dry. It's very easy to clean from your hands too. I've tried other, widely touted brands but keep coming back to PPA. Honestly, I don't know why every papercrafter doesn't use this great product!

This glue is my absolute favorite for paper quilling as well as other paper projects. It is the only glue that is truly Matte when dried and it soaks into paper really well. You will never see bits of dried glue on your project, shiny or otherwise. PPA is a little thinner than some other glues so it doesn't dry quite as quickly but the result is worth the wait. It offers water and UV resistant properties which are essential for paper quilled jewelry making. Be careful not to use too much at once if you are using this for quilling so as not to disturb your beautiful coils. Apply in thin layers. I'd suggest also trying the glossy version for the same quality glue with a shiny finish :) And the icing on the cake...it's MADE IN THE USA!

Ever since I began doing mixed media art some years ago I've been looking for "the perfect" adhesive. I think I've tried them all...or at least a lot if the box that holds the 'rejects' is any indication. I'm not sure what exactly makes this adhesive so perfect but it has a consistency of thick cream and goes on very smoothly. It sets quickly - but not too quickly and provides superior adhesion of whatever you use it on. I've used paper, of course, thick papers, pieces of sheet metal (lightweight). It all just stays put. I have already gotten a second bottle of this and when that is used up I will be buying it in the quart size! Yep - I rally like it that much. I have no affiliation what-so-ever etc etc....

This is a great glue for quilling. On the upside, it holds nicely without added weight or gumminess, the paper remains flexible where I join 2 thin paper strips together, and I can reposition paper without the glue drying too quickly. Of course, it is not a tacky glue, so I have to hold glued pieces together a bit longer for it to take. All in all, it's a great glue that I will buy again.

This glue is great for holding items in my scrapbooks. The nozzle delivers a thin amount of glue for precise application. The amount of glue lasts a long time. Once I switched to a different brand and was thoroughly disappointed, but now I'm back, baby! Love this for all my scrapbook and card crafts!

My daughter used this glue to create her wedding memories shadow box.She loved this glue - it was easy to use, didn't glob or drip, tacked up quickly, and was completely invisible when dry. She glued everything from dried pressed flowers from her bouquet, invitation and save-the-date cards, a handkerchief and small doily from her table centerpieces, ribbon wands, and a small framed quote still in the frame. Everything is secure and looks beautiful! This glue was perfect for creating a lifetime of treasured memories!

It can be difficult to find a multi-purpose, one-size-fits-all wet glue, but I adore this one. It's a bit more fluid than Ranger Multi Medium Matte, which means it's much easier to squeeze out of the bottle, and super easy to spread with your fingers or a tool to glue down or seal. After watching May Flaum squeeze blobs of PPA out and drop buttons, sequins, beads and other embellishments right into the adhesive on one of her crafting YouTube videos, I tried that on a recent mixed-media project and it worked brilliantly. I grab this adhesive now over gel medium for smaller projects because it's so easy to use without a brush or knife, and dries completely matte, even if you use a good amount.
