Q: What is the battery life?

not so good. a few hours. Won't last a 5 hour day. Also its a real problem getting it to turn on and off.

Q: Is this the same reader offered through paypal?

yes check the model number on paypal site

Q: Does this really take 5-10 days to be able to use (you must wait for an approval?), once you connect it to PayPal Here on your phone?

If your PayPal is all set up just connect and use. But PayPal does have a setup time for your bank accounts to link up.

Q: Do you have to have the paypal business acount with this? And if you have that does that mean they take 2.7% & the 1$/ transaction? How does it work?

This uses the paypal here app. You do lose a percentage of each card swipe and it is explained upon setup of the paypal here app. you can download the app prior to purchasing this item and read all their terms/conditions without any commitment.
