They do come in a plastic sleeve with a card of authenticity. A tops whistle is packed in one of the sheath pockets.

How well does the saw back work?

My 107 doesn't have the saw back and according to my research it would be difficult to use as an effective saw and would weaken the structural integrity of the blade, as would the serrations on the blade whch tend to get peened over when chopping. Mine is a plain blade which makes the knife almost indestructible. Otherwise, if you are just looking for aesthetics, the saw back and blade serrations really look cool. One caveat would be that the serrations would be beneficial for cutting cord, rope, or webbing, seat belts, etc., all is up to the buyer. I don't abuse my knives but I don't just buy for show either. The 107 is my ever present truck knife for emergency use.

How large is the knife

Short answer: BIG & STRONG! Overall it's about 13" with a blade that about 8". The blade is 1/4" thick at the tang. The knife is made by Tops & they're know as one of the best! This knife isn't cheap, but it's top quality & will do anything you need for it to do except whittle fine stick figures. I use it primarily for camping, but if need a survival knife this is the one I would pack in. I keep a fire starter kit in the front pocket of the sheath along with a knife sharpener. Done! A total package! I strongly recommend this knife. You take care of it & it'll do the job for you!
