Excellent Shooting Aid
Excellent tool for hunting. Not built too be slammed around but seems too be pretty hardy when used with common sense. Adjustments are easy and hold their settings well. Light weight and easy to carry. Makes those 60 to 125 yard shots on small game much easier. Great for woods hunting squirrel with a rifle. If you like to eat small game, then this is the tool to help you fill you cooker up. Best for the person that takes their time with shots, not as good for those in a hurry. Works great when shooter leans against a tree or rock or other solid object, then it makes a very stable shot possible.

Won't go rifle hunting without it.
Did not expect to like this. I had a tripod before this that bugged me, and this, being a monopod, is much less stable, so why would I like it? Well friend, let me tell you. First, it is very small and light when packed. You can bring it in your hunting pack and not even know you have it. So bringing a shooting stick goes from a 'eh, should I?' to a "of course, why not?" Second, and this is what I really liked: With a tripod, you set it, and then you are sort of stuck. Yes, you can move a tripod or bipod, but gracefully, while down in the optic, quietly, following the deer? No. With this, I never hesitated to use it because my support hand on my rifle was right there so picking it up to move was a natural thing, I just moved it and the gun together to follow the game. It was fantastic. And the level of stability even a monopod adds is unreal, Yes, there is a little side to side sway sometimes, but not always, but your up and down sway (for me, my heartbeat will make the barrel move up and down) is gone. A complete doubling of confidence in my shot. Won't go rifle hunting without it.

Great bipod!
Really good quality bipod. The only reason why I put 4 stars is the way it adjusts. When you are needing to adjust up or down you have to turn the legs. It would be much better to have a lever lock like some do, that would be much faster and more efficient way of changing heights. Other than that it is a really good bipod, very steady and built well. The bipod folds up nicely and is very light and easy to carry. Shot 2 deer this year with it, makes for a very steady well placed shot.

Different Finish but Same Quality
I bought this same model from Gander Mountain years ago. I wanted to try using it as a shooting stick, but never did make much use of it that way, just didn't fit my style of shooting I guess. However, I found it to be an excellent collapsible hiking stick, very light and strong, and (in my opinion) better than many of the hiking sticks costing a lot more. I finally replaced the "Y" fitting on the top with a brass cap nut and have been using it as a dedicated hiking stick for years. One thing I like is that when extending it, it will NOT pull apart, while some of the more expensive ones will. This latest purchase is for my wife to use as a hiking stick. Mine has a gloss black finish and hers has a matte dark gray finish, and the removable bottom tip is a different material without the "cat's paw" imprint, but otherwise it appears to be the same. Oh, it also makes an excellent occasional-use monopod for field photography, as the top screw is a standard 1/4" x 20 tpi.

Take a chance it's worth the money.
I don't know why there are so many negative review's on this item I like it and it does what it supposed to do, built well and steady and very light, I have seen where some have said you can't put any weight or pressure on it well you shouldn't put any of both on this item it's built to steady your weapon and aim. And when you twist the legs to much to lock them they are going to break it's common sense not to do this, with that being said this product is worth your money.

Primos Pole Cat
I waited a year to do this review. I wanted to put this pole to the test. This shooting rest is designed to not only shoot from but double as a walking stick. Bottom line DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. After a year the pole does not tighten to hold any downward weight. The bottom portion of this stick collapses is and i need to use plyers to extent it. The top "V" rest does not tighten and is flimisy. Kind of useless to shoot from if the brase wabbles. I am actually looking for a box or tube to send this back to primos.

These are a must for hunters!
I am sure they can be used for other things but we use them for hunting. They telescope to decent lengths for standing but also for sitting in a blind. Stable and we have some old ones that have lasted for years. But I have a disability and it makes it necessary for me to use a bipod and these are perfect. For ease because sometimes I am in a wheelchair or on crutches I can't be carrying extra things out in the field so we have a set in each blind for me. Again they last and are easy to deal with and sturdy. Just make sure that you get the size you want. We have about 6 pairs of these.

When extended the locking mechanism won't tighten sufficiently to hold it in position. It keeps sliding down. Worked the first few times then failed. Poor quality.
