Boursin Gournay Cheese in Garlic and Fine Herbs Review
Boursin Gournay Cheese in Garlic and Fine Herbs-Ingredients: Cultured pasteurized milk and cream, granulated garlic, salt, white pepper, parsley, chives*.*DriedI was worried that the garlic would be overwhelming even though I love garlic, however I worry when it comes to dairy based products, that the ingredient can drown all the others out. Again, Boursin found the right balance and you taste garlic but it has not permeated the entire cheese. The white pepper provides a zingy taste that differs from the usual black peppercorns. You get a mild spice that is perfect for even non-pepper fans! The parsley and chives bring the herb notes, but chive also provides a nice mild onion flavor that tends to also brighten up the cheese’s overall taste. This is the one you buy if you are new to the Boursin family.Verdict:This year we enjoyed the cheeses as-is and added them to crackers. I visited Costco and they sell a trio package there. Costco was sampling the cheeses by adding them to mashed potatoes and it created a smooth and appealing product. It was a nice way to spruce up a comfort food and give it a little gourmet twist. This New Year’s Eve, I will be baking fresh loaves of Rosemary rustic bread, cutting the loaves (not all the way through) to create pockets (crisscrossed pattern) and filling them with a a little butter and then Boursin cheese with shredded cheeses, and then baking. This will create a nice pull-a-part bread that guests can enjoy eat while still being able to enjoy the festivities. It is an easy appetizer to add to our others and melted cheese is something we all love. I may add even some pancetta to some of the loaves to create a different flavor. Boursin cheeses go with anything you serve because they stand on their own on a cheese platter, or you can add them dishes and dips. There is no rules or limits here, so I highly suggest bringing a smile to your guests this year by welcoming 2016 with Boursin!I received the above product(s) free of charge from Houseparty/ChatterBox and Boursin Cheeses. I am not obligated to provide a positive or favorable review, just my honest opinion. My review is based on my experience with the product and/or brand, which may differ from yours.

Wonderful item (But...)
Boursin - Garlic and Fine Herbs - great taste our favorite spread with fine crackers. We have been served this in high end hotels several times and wanted to have some at home too. The only "watch out" is our order was almost out-of-date when we received it. We still enjoyed it, BUT...had to eat it fast. IF the out-of-date was reasonable this item would have received 5 stars!

Delicious and excellent quality
Excellent quality cheese. Very soft and moist and extremely flavorful! Even my two year old is loving with this cheese. I did not purchase mine from Amazon, however I did just get it from my local grocery store and I paid around $5 for it. I will definitely continue using this product.

A New Must Have Item
This crumbly, white cheese is a delicious combo of feta-like texture, slight cream cheese tone. It is a sensory delighting garlic and herb experience that shouldn't be missed. It comes in a pleasant, white box that looks slightly more like a garlic supplement than a package for cheese. As shown in the picture, it does come wrapped in a silver foil packet with ridges. Like a foil wrapped, crumbly cheese cupcake. My "best before" date was Feb 19, 2010 but was literally gone in within less than a day. I had originally purchased it on a whim but both my 66 year-old mother and 7 year-old son fully support my decision to add Boursin's Garlic & Fine Herbs Gournay [not misspelled; it's their word] Cheese to our "must have" list. The Boursin website has a feature that allows you to search for local vendors but, for some areas, it is no where near accurate. Unless you know where to buy it already, I would recommend purchasing this very palatable cheese online.

Terrific product, Terrible price!
Seriously??? I buy this at Winco and Trader Joe's for $3.99, why would anyone pay 6 bucks and 21 dollars shipping for it? Completely ridiculous price! Skip Amazon and go to the store - it's SO worth the trip!

Expiration date
I received the product very promptly and packed in a little cooler but the expiration date was 9/30/08 and I had just ordered it 9/22/08. They need to watch that my husband wont eat anything out of date or even close to being out of date. That was the only complaint. Love the cheese!!!
