Business Culture Is Changing Big Time
Reading the first 50 pages I thought these companies must be on another planet, they could not exist in the harsh business environment of the United States. But, things are slowly changing - or should I say they are slowly changing fast. People today - never ever call them employees again - want to thrive and fulfill themselves in the work and with their creativity. They realize that they spend most of their precious time in the workspace - so better don't waste it by surrounding yourself with boring people that do boring tasks. This book provides an amazing insight of how much work culture has changed already, and soon will be the new normal. Very inspiring if you are fed up with stupid jobs.

Company Culture
I think company culture is hugely important for retaining quality employees. Talented people will stay at a company where they are happy with their team / people / culture. Of course, we're all work-from-home at the moment, but one does hope that we will be back with our teams sometime in the next month or two. Any way you slice it, I liked how this book used real examples from a broad spectrum of real company leaders. I found it informative.

The Culture Book offers thought provoking ideas on how to differentiate your company from all the others in the market. In this time of historically low unemployment, there is a talent war and we are all engaged in it. You can't attract and retain talent if you don't focus on people first and create a buzz that energizes them every day! If you are struggling to find an edge, take a look at the ideas captured in this book. You won't be disappointed!

First practical book on metrics and tactics for corp. culture in a long time
Corp culture is one of those subjects that people tend to treat like the Supreme Court justice remarked on pornography: can't define it, but know it when I see it. Regrettably, such an approach is wholly inadequate for an area of mgmt focus that execs claim is so important, yet remains among the first "soft" areas of budgets to get cut when cash flow is tight. For years, the best book I had found and regularly cited about the direct connection between corporate performance and culture was Kotter & Heskett's 1992 "Corporate Culture and Performance." Now, add to that "The Culture Book" published by Austin's DIY platform publisher Weeva. It is chockful of tips, techniques, and tricks for visioning, implementing, and measuring corporate culture in the era of the interwebs. Highly recommended!

A practical resource for building a strong, productive culture at work.
In When Culture Clicks, the team that produces the elite “Culturati” conference each year in Austin collects management secrets from the leaders they most admire at companies like Netflix, Google, Rackspace, Patagonia and Southwest Airlines. The testimonies are remarkably intimate, often playful, and always relevant to the challenge of inspiring teams. If you’re looking for proven-effective strategies for employee engagement and retention, you’ll find them here. I’m reading the book in bite-sized chunks and getting fresh perspective (let your “hallway influencers” teach you how to communicate with the troops) and actionable ideas (how to assess your team’s culture) in almost every interview. The book is full of specific recommendations from successful executives (and the thought-leaders who advise them) about where to focus effort and how to get started.Culturati says culture is “values in action.” That’s the idea they’re unpacking in When Culture Clicks. It’s well-curated wisdom from leaders who’ve fostered productivity, accountability, innovation and loyalty by helping people live their values at work.

Many of these people think a little out of the box. If you want to have engaged, positive employees who project pride in their jobs, then this book will grab your interest.
