Balance – Akkermansia & Christensenella Probiotic for Gut Health

I love this stuff. It’s my second time buying it, last time it helped my gut issues somewhat, not 100% but there was improvement. It used to be a good value for the money but they raised prices a lot since the last time I purchased it.

I got this on sale for pretty cheap and took it regularly after breakfast. It pretty much cured my stomach irritation when it came to ingesting milk. I'm lactose intolerant and used to experience stomach pain. I still get gas but no pain or serious discomfort. I really like the choice in bacteria. It's pretty thoughtful and it is why I choose to purchase this product specifically.

We are a family of cynics. I rarely believe anything at all about anything someone is selling...and instead hope the products meet relatively low performance standards (so I'm rarely disappointed). This was a surprise. My son unfortunately inherited my unpredictable and often uncomfortable gut. He had tried EVERYTHING and told me he finally found something that did the trick. I didn't believe him but after two weeks...I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I had been an entire weekend indulging in food from the county fair, and wasn't bloated or gassy. I hadn't spent uncomfortable time in public portable toilets, and I felt pretty good overall. I didn't immediately ascribe it to GutRx...but now almost a month later I'm doing something I never thought I'd do...I'm recommending it to my most uncomfortable peeps. Some really smart people, trying to put a real product on the market, made my life better. Thanks GutRx!

If a commercial supplement brand claims to deliver live Christensenella minuta, it is highly likely a false marketing claim. The Reality: As of mid-2026, Christensenella minuta is not approved or widely manufactured as a retail, over-the-counter dietary probiotic supplement. Where it currently exists: It is currently strictly classified as a Live Biotherapeutic Product (LBP). It is produced by specialized scientific laboratories (like Creative Biolabs) exclusively for clinical trials, research institutions, and pharmaceutical development.

GutRx seems to be working to control IBS-D. I gave up on VSL-3, which used to work and switched to GutRx when nothing seemed to be helping. I am continuing to follow a low FODMAP diet.

The various bacteria's contained in this product have some very exciting research done about them. Anyone who is into the topic of life extension through supplementation should read the label and research them on YouTube.

I have been taking it for a month and a half now. I don't feel anything different (mood, bowel movement changes, etc.). Good or bad. I ordered it because it has many probiotics that are ok to take if you have histamine intolerance and some of them can survive stomach and bile acids. I am glad they have not made the symptoms, I am dealing with, worse. I will say that the packaging on Amazon and what I got were different in appearance, but the ingredients were the same. Not sure why they have not updated the picture to reflect the actual product you receive. You also have to bounce around a bit to track down customer service.
