Excellent visuals of everything in your house. Gives a dumb dumb like me the feeling that I can attack some home repair and helps me understand how my home works. Great book.

I received this book yesterday and just in the few minutes I spent flipping through to see what kind of info was in the book, I became very excited! This book is very easy to follow along, read, and understand. It provides a solid and basic written and visual explanation of how your house works. It covers everything from various plumbing items, to the vents that come out of your roof, to your electrical outlets, to your lawnmower! I haven't even read the book yet, but can tell that this is likely the most useful home related book to ever own. It doesn't seem to be a "how-to guide" for repairs or remodeling but more of an informational reference about really how your house works. If you are just interested in how your house works, or a handyman, or professional contractor, this book is a must have! I am so glad I bought this book.

I gave this book to my son-in-law for Christmas 2014. He and my daughter had purchased their first home a couple of years ago. This book is perfect for busy professionals (men and women) who want to make simple repairs around the house and want to communicate more effectively with electricians, plumbers, contractors, and handymen. The visuals are extremely good. A great vaue.

A great little book to have, I've learned a lot from it.
