Fine Woodstrip Canoe Building with Nick Offerman

My girlfriend and I are both fans of Nick Offerman as an actor. My girlfriend is a practicing artist and loves all things manual, so when I learned that Nick Offerman had made a DVD about woodworking, I had to get it for her for Christmas. She absolutely loved it, so mission accomplished!Even if you never intend to build a canoe in your life, there's no way you won't enjoy watching this if you're a tiny bit curious. Nick is super knowledgeable and has an awesome sense of humor; you'll be engaged from the first minute.I wouldn't be surprised if this DVD were impossible to find in a few years. Go for it while you can!

There could have been more detail - tools, space requirements, pitfalls, options for strongback, gable construction.

Very insightful into the building process. Likely a LOT of things that I will have to learn from the book , but this is a great Audio/Visual Resource to have! Nick Offerman's humor in right down my alley in the midst of the build.

My kids got this for me as a Christmas present and I absolutely love it! I don't ever plan to build one of these, but I am into woodworking and just seeing the whole process explained by Nick is such a treat! I wish all woodworking videos were as clear as this one!

Finally got to see some of the technical aspects and construction process that I didn't really understand. Boosted my confidence and I now believe I can build one as well.

Got dvd as a gift for a friend. Purchase included a small booklet with information about different types of canoes, kayaks, and small boats. Also came with an order form for building kits. This has gotten us much closer to something we would have never thought we'd get into.
