I had this previously and the base broke...BUT this purchase via amazon was less expensive than my prior purchase thru a cell phone service provider who shall remain nameless, and I really really like the convenience and flexibility of this product.

I have bought two of these, one via Verizon Wireless and one through Amazon (which is odd since the manufacturer claims they only sell through Verizon). It would be an absolutely amazing mount IF it didn't break so easily. Both of them broke after a few weeks, in the same way, with the sides of the grip no longer staying in place when squeezed together. Also the pads that come with the mount at the sides come out easily but thankfully they provide replacements that do not come out. It would be nice if you could buy replacement pads although given the short life of this mount, the mount itself would break before you needed the replacement pads. My recommendation to you is as follows. They have a warrany so you can get a new one if it breaks within a year, but just don't expect it to last more than a few weeks or months before breaking. My recommendation to the manufacturer, if you are reading this, is to figure out a way to make this wonderful device robust enough to outlive its warranty.

Works great in our car and I like it that it has many mounting opinions. Where I mounted it I have easy excess to my phone and can still use the cup holder.

I got this same product from Verizon when I got my new phone and loved it. So I got the same for a family member and they were soooo excited. The on problem with it is that when you use the suction on the windshield in the summer, the sun heats the sticky suction so that it slides down and leaves the adhesive on the window. Probably need Goo Gone to get it off. But I took it off and will put it back in when it’s clean. It didn’t leave any adhesive behind in the beginning and there is still some covering the suction. Overall, very happy with this product.

All mounts had good adhesion to various surfaces. The suction to the circle adhesive plate liked to fail on bumpy roads. The side foam pads on the phone holder itself like to peel off in hot weather. All plastic parts mean that they like to break with normal usage. I ordered an extra box to pull spare parts from.

Outstanding product, works great. Was a bit scared that I couldn't find a good place to mount it but it's so versatile I was able to mount it low and still able to see the phone.

I bought two of these and the part that always fails is the plastic gears on the ratcheting part that clamps onto the phone. Other than that it works great. But having the phone fall out while I'm driving and then see one of the parts has failed, that's annoying and distracting while driving. I just bought a different brand for my 3rd phone holder.

Worked great for awhile.... Then it just fell apart I'm guessing from sun over heating through windshield. I tried to take it off and all the suction levers etc. Just fell apart. Bummer deal dudes.
